Mars in Capricorn, Mars Conjunct Pluto & Last Days of Saturn in Scorpio (but wait...)

The spotlight is on Capricorn and Scorpio with Mars moving into Capricorn on October 27, conjuncting Pluto on November 11 (11:11).  Also the Capricorn planet Saturn moves out of Scorpio (losing its reciprocity with Pluto in Capricorn) on December 24.  The people most affected by these transits were born in the last years of the 1980s (1988-90) with stelliums in Capricorn.

So how does this translate? We know by now that Pluto brings transformation by forcing us to delve into the darker and more suppressed places in our souls.  Uranus which squares Pluto in Capricorn with 7 exact squares (ending in 2015) acts as the Great Awakener.  This means that Uranus provides a boost towards this inevitable transformation which affects the entire planet with those with a Capricorn or Scorpio signature leading the fray.   I've also written posts on the Capricorn Stellium group who experience several conjunctions with transiting Pluto in Capricorn and support from Saturn in Scorpio through a sextile to their stellium planets.

In addition, Mars transits in Capricorn from October 27 through December 7 and as I mentioned earlier, experiences an exact orb with Pluto on November 11.  This reminds me of when Mars formed a conjunction with Saturn last September giving some of us more drive behind our ambition and more physical and stamina. I know that I had just moved my belongings in storage with the help of Cancer and Capricorn friends, then carried heavy baggage around both physically and emotionally in September. I have found most of my help coming from the Cancer-Capricorn polarity. My emotional and physical strength surprised me as I kept waiting for the other foot to land.

Now that Mars is transiting in Capricorn we could muster up the same strength in the area of our chart with Capricorn on the cusp, but also look at the 10th House represented by Saturn/Capricorn as well as, the First House represented by Aries/Mars.  How do we assert our public identity and how do we present ourselves in the working world? Do we feel grounded and rooted in our career or do we feel like we are suffocating in it? Are we using this short span of time to launch a new career that has brewed in the background during previous months, especially last spring when Mars in Libra held the yield sign in our faces?  Mars which spent 8 months in Libra (2013-14) now transits in another Cardinal Sign further emphasizing a Cardinal push.  Cardinal energy brings both wanted and unwanted changes.

Saturn completed his journey in the underground (Scorpio) and heads into Sagittarius in late December, around the holidays.  We give a sigh of relief, especially those of you who experienced your Saturn Return, but wait, there's more.  Saturn goes retrograde on March 15 then transits back into Scorpio from June 15 to September 19, 2015.  This means those of you with your Saturn at 28 and 29 degrees Scorpio will experience the last leg of your Saturn Return (the lessons return). I believe that some of you carry the Capricorn Stellium in your Natal charts especially those of you born in late December and early January.  I leave it up to you to view your charts to see how the Saturn transit impacts you.

Those of you born with prominent planets in Air and Fire signs or Sun in Scorpio will find these energies at odds with you.  You will all push for freedom by rebelling on some level.  However, the Fire and Air Signs benefit when Saturn transits in Sagittarius even if Saturn constricts movement such as foreign travel, higher education, and religion.  Really, Saturn asks the question about integrity and slowing down so we can ground our idealism into reality.  As far as the planet goes, we have a lot on our plate at the moment and rushing into any decision could harm us.  In this regard, we thank Saturn for delaying our decisions and curtailing our ambitions until we have all the required information to move forward.

Terminology:

Mutual reciprocity is when two planets exchange energies by appearing in each others' sign such as Saturn in Scorpio ruled by Pluto in dialogue with Pluto in Capricorn which is Saturn's ruler.

Stellium is when four plus planets appear in the same sign. In the late 1980s, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune formed a Triple Conjunction in Capricorn and when personal planets also transiting in Capricorn such as the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars we experienced a Stellium in Capricorn.
