Ending September with Venus in Libra and Mercury in Scorpio

On September 27th Mercury entered Scorpio conjuncting the Scorpio Moon followed by Venus moving into Libra on September 29.  While the Sagittarius Moon leaves us feeling exuberant and willing to take risks, the combination of Venus in her own sign and Mercury in Scorpio could bring out the passive-aggressive side of us.  Use the energy of the Sagittarius Moon to speak our emotions directly and boldly rather than skirt around the edges.

My advice during the final week of September is to dig deeper before making any major or even minor decisions.  With Venus in Libra there is a tendency towards laziness and indulging in food and drink while the Moon sails through Sagittarius.  However, this laziness poses consequences which we could pay for later when Mercury goes retrograde on October 4 in Scorpio.  Use tact and diplomacy now even when uncovering dirty secrets or feeling betrayed.  Mercury in Scorpio has a tendency to trick us into seeing deception everywhere and trusting no one.  We grow fearful and paranoid and speak in darker words than usual so I ask you to watch for this tendency then focus on what is beautiful in others and in the world (Venus in Libra).

As always, we deal with our projections and our shadows. If we find that other people act deceitful then turn the mirror on ourselves.  Where are we deceitful with ourselves and with others?  Remember that we are what we attract to us in some respect.  And we deceive ourselves in numerous ways then blame this on others.  God gave each of us gut feelings or intuition.  We use these tools wisely only when we listen to our inner voice and pay attention to our feelings or senses in the case with any planet in Scorpio or Taurus.  If a situation or person smells wrong to us, then beat a hasty track out of there.

We deal now more with the paranormal or unseen forces which feel both light and dark to us. We could engage in conversations about ghosts or haunted places.  We could clear out the cobwebs within our own soul space.  Now is a good time to clear out any beliefs or situation that no longer or never served us.  Now is not the time to entertain paranoid thoughts, live in suspicious thoughts or watch conspiracy theory videos on YouTube or engage in negative self-talk or conversations with others.  Find out why you have an attraction to darker elements and behaviors then heal the wounds underneath.

Saturn remains in Scorpio until the end of December 2014.  This gives us two months to practice what we preach and change any behaviors that don't serve our highest mission or path.  For those of you with major planets in Water Signs you have this flowing energy for two months in which Saturn moves into the Fire Sign Sagittarius and people born with Mutable T-Crosses will feel tension coming from this Mutable Sign, especially with Neptune in Pisces, another Mutable Sign.  I will cover the Saturn-Neptune square in future posts.

For now you will experience Venus moving into Libra and Mercury moving into Scorpio then in a few days time turning retrograde.  The big message is practice what you preach and practice direct communication.  Anything else is going to land you in Hades or at least you will feel that way.

Equinox, Sun in Libra and New Moon in Libra

Wikipedia
As we move into the cycle of Libra, I remind you to live in balance with yourself, with the earth, with your body and with your community.  If partnerships of any kind are not built on solid ground they could break apart now.

On the dietary side, watch sugar and salt intake because the Sun in Libra rules kidneys.  The North Node and New Moon plus Venus in Libra emphasize this alert to keep our kidneys healthy.  We also want to keep our weight in balance (scales) and our moods in balance (New Moon) so we don't blow situations out of proportion.  Later in October, Mercury RX travels back into Libra too.  Last but not least take good care of your pancreas so you don't suffer from blood sugar imbalances now.  Libra types especially receive this warning because you are likely to experience diabetes if you overindulge in sugary foods.

Make sure you drink enough water, cover your body in cold, damp and windy conditions.  On the relationship front, watch for your shadows as you project them onto to partners, friends, co-workers, etc.  There is a tendency to gossip now or talk behind people's backs.  I don't recommend this behavior for two reasons: 1) If you gossip about others, they also gossip about you.  And 2) Gossiping never solves any problems you have with others nor does it make you better than the person you gossip about.  Gossiping only shows how insecure you are.  No one trusts a gossip and you reap repercussions from your actions.  Use the Aries polarity and gather the courage to confront others directly and solve problems directly.  (When the Sun or New Moon are in Gemini or Libra we have a tendency to gossip).

If you stay in balance and integrity during this New Moon cycle you avoid some of the catastrophes of the Uranus-Pluto Square also in Cardinal Signs and later forming a T-Cross with the upcoming Full Moon.  Keep your hats on and stay in balance.  This is the message of the New Moon in Libra and the Fall Equinox.

October 8, 2014 Total Lunar Eclipse--Warrior Moon Breakthrough

Wikipedia
Lately, the Knights of Templar have swum in my thoughts.  I wasn't sure why and then I saw the Total Lunar Eclipse for October 8, 2014.  This Full Moon joins a Grand Fire Trine (Jupiter in Leo, Mars in Sagittarius and Uranus conjunct Moon in Aries).  Venus, North Node and Sun in Libra oppose the Moon and forms a square with Pluto in Capricorn.

With all these planetary players involved I'm posting the Lunar Eclipse post early.  Let's break down the various components and solve the mystery of the Knights of Templar hanging out in my brain space.  While I'm not going to give you a history lesson of the Knights of Templar, I ask you to Google this group of spiritual warriors and read about their light, shadows and downfall initiated by the Roman Catholic Church.  You can also read Dan Brown's books if you want a fictional version.

The images I have received are of bravery as well as, courage during the downfall when the knights were rounded up by the Catholic officials, tried, tortured and burned on stakes.  Humanity too is heading for a downfall but one that can ultimately bring a resurrection of love and usher in a time of peace upon the earth.  Around the time of the Lunar Eclipse during the first and second weeks of October, we will feel like passionate knight-warriors with a cause in mind or in our hearts.  Since this eclipse ignites the Libra-Aries polarity, we fight for justice or strive for balance within our own selves.  We remember the axiom, so above is so below.  Nothing in the outer world happens without our permission on some level, collective or individual.

On the Libra side of the equation (Venus, Sun, North Node) we must stop worrying what other people think about us.  Stop trying to please others while going against our convictions.  We must make decisions now that honor us and stick to those decisions.  We might suffer from the rejection from others, but at least we did not betray our selves.  Be true to yourself comes through bright and clear like a blue sky during the summer months.  Your truth sparkles like sunlight inside you and burns through clouds of confusion and inaction that has kept you stuck for the past year.

Wikipedia
On the Aries side of the equation (Uranus, Moon), we feel an urge to breakthrough even ram our heads through societal constraints as well as, unworkable patterns, beliefs, and thought forms.  Similar to the Knights of Templar we want to stand for something and we even want to fight for those beliefs.  This could suggest breaking down old structure so we can bring shelter, food, water and other requirements to every being on earth.  We will no longer tolerate any kind of suffering especially at the hands of greedy entities.  We take abuse no more.

However, with Pluto squaring Venus, Sun, North Node, Moon, and Uranus we will have quite a fight on our hands.  This fight however, is with our own souls as we make peace with our shadows and forgive others we hold in our mirrors.  We learn that what we experience outside of us is a projection of our inner workings (subconscious mind).  Nothing happens by accident and there are no coincidences.  If we want peace in our lives and in the world, we must first find peace in our hearts.  We do this by detaching from the world in a healthy way and plugging into the Source of All That Is.

Finally, let's look at the Fire Trine with Jupiter, Moon, Uranus, and Mars.  Jupiter in Leo expands what it touches and tells us we are all kings and queens in our own dramas.  The world is a stage but maybe other people have lost interest in our personal dramas or they never wanted to play a bit part in the first place.  Show compassion to others who opt out of our theatrical productions.  The Moon (feeling) and Uranus (awakening) in the sign of Aries wants to charge ahead.  This combination feels rash and throws tantrums when it doesn't get its way.  My way or the highway hangs on our lips as we charge ahead thinking the world as competitive instead of cooperative.  Yet, we must remember we are co-creators with God which is the greatest role to play.  Mars in Sagittarius sets out on quest looking for high adventure and this could even be a religious quest such as a pilgrimage.

Those folks who take the high road during this time come closer to ascending into higher dimensions. While those who take the low road seek vengeance on the world in one form or another.  We see a lot of players with aims of world dominance and ancient war games continuing to play out.  However, it is up to you to choose where you will place your focus.  Will you watch the evening news and curse the "evil ones" or will you view your neighbors as loving and cooperative as they share the fruits of their victory garden? Sure one scenario seems juicy and dramatic while the other insignificant.  Yet, find love where you can and this leads to your awakening.  In other words, don't feed the fiery dragon that threatens to devour the earth (by giving it your attention and focus).

Perhaps, this time ushers in the return of the Knights of Templar or at least souls waking up to having lived previous lifetimes as a knight going to battle for a religious cause.  I think it's a good time for taking a quest (inner or outer) and I imagine people will flock to the various pilgrimages around the world or sacred sites this October.  With three Cardinal Signs involved with this Lunar Eclipse (Aries, Libra and Capricorn) and that Grand Fire Trine, don't let this Full Moon pass by without honoring your convictions and holding out a vision of a peaceful planet.  Strive for balance in your own life and encourage others to do the same.  Remember the saying that peace begins within us, then our families, then our communities, nations and so on.  Plant the seeds of peace now so that this Lunar Eclipse doesn't broadside you.  Ascension is always possible and so is peace.

Astrological Forecast for October 2014--Balance and Poise

Fire and Air dominate October.   Challenging aspects include Mercury Retrograde in Scorpio/Libra, Pluto moving into a square with Uranus and a Jupiter-Saturn Square.  On the plus side Venus travels into her own sign Libra sextiling an adventurous Mars in Sagittarius and Jupiter in Leo, but opposing Uranus in Aries. The biggest challenge is keeping our wits about us when the firestorms kick up.  And they will with this lineup.

We start off the month with a wide conjunction of the Sun and Venus in Libra.  Neptune crashes the party in the beauty parlor when the planet inconjuncts both the Sun and Venus. Are we not looking beneath the surface?  Are we placing too much emphasis on conventional beauty and focusing too much on symmetrical perfection? Are we having problems making decisions because we don't see the truth revealed in our situations?  To complicate this, Mercury in Scorpio goes retrograde on the 4th adding to the confusion.  From the 11th until the 24th, Mercury does his backwards dance in Libra (again, we have problems making decisions).  Most likely we experience delays with contracts and other written materials.  This is not a good time to get married or sign any business agreements or to sign a lease.  Wait until the final week of October.

When Mercury transits retrograde in Air Signs we could experience mechanical breakdowns, but mostly our brains short circuit.  Since Libra rules Venus, from the 11th to the 24th, take it easy if possible.  Go to a spa if you can afford it or make a spa in your own bathroom.  Get your hair cut or styled, but communicate clearly with your hair stylist and don't assume they know what you want.  They don't even know what they want at that point.

With the Sun, North Node, Mercury, Venus and Pallas in Libra watch your sugar intake.  Too much mental stress could see you grabbing for simple carbs and this is not a healthy idea.  Too much sugar can cause problems with the pancreas and kidneys.  Also keep salt intake in balance.  In fact, balance is the keyword.  With Mars in Sagittarius for most of the month and Jupiter in Leo there is a tendency to overindulge in food and drink.  Our eyes tell us we're hungry when exposed to eye candy but our stomachs scream, "Enough is enough!" Since Sagittarius rules the thighs and liver, if we get out of balance now with diet and exercise, we will pay later.  Oh, will we pay.

The Mars-Jupiter trine that starts off the month leaves us feeling bold, courageous and adventurous.  Many of us will pack our bags and travel abroad, if not physically, then definitely mentally.  People will pack the theaters to watch action-adventure movies with mythological proportion heroes.  This trend last until the 19th, but the ripples will continue into November when the Sun transits into Sagittarius, then we're off on another mental or physical adventure.

However, Saturn dampens the effect when Jupiter Squares Saturn for the entire month.  Since Jupiter Squares Saturn and not the other way around, Jupiter poses the challenge.  We could see all our discipline in different areas of our life erode.  We get distracted and interrupt our daily exercise routine or we fall off the wagon where diet is concerned.  We fail classes in school because we spend too much time partying (college students beware), or we blow our savings account on frivolous pursuits that we regret when the Sun and other planets head into Capricorn.

In December Saturn moves into Jupiter's sign Sagittarius.  I still don't know what to make of Saturn moving into the expansive and jubilant sign, but with Jupiter in Leo, I think we're going to see a lot of smoke, flame, fire and fireworks, not to mention volcanic activity, especially when Uranus in Aries gets involved and we experience Grand Fire Trines.  We want adventure, we want to take on challenges with boldness and we will act overly dramatic at times.  And we could also deal with narcissism to extremes with all of that fire.  Or we might start taking Climate Change more seriously, especially with all the heat on the planet under those influences.  I hope so.  We will also see more people installing solar panels on their homes and we will make more use of the heat from the Sun.  We will also see a rise in wrinkles and skin cancer.

Finally, Pluto that went Direct in September now closes the gap with retrograde Uranus in Aries.  We experience a 2 degree orb starting on the 20th and by December we experience the perfect Uranus-Pluto Square.  Expect more chaos and this time without the buffer of Water Trines.  To some people, especially with Cardinal Sign planets at 11 to 13 degrees are going to feel this as a final onslaught.  You will no longer hang onto the stuff that's holding you back.  Uranus brings liberation and Pluto brings a wrecking ball to unsuitable structure.  I'll have this happening in my 7th House with the planet Mercury so I'll be hanging out in the same boat as you.

I'm thinking of Joni Mitchell's song "Both Sides Now" because in October we can choose to perceive the glass as half empty or half full.  We can also study the Yin/Yang sign as we strive for balance in all forms while keeping expansion at bay.  Planets in Sagittarius create bubble economies and bubbles in our thinking so it's easy to overextend ourselves and our credit.  Only Pluto in Capricorn and Saturn in Scorpio keep us grounded in October, but that could cause us to spend time on the dark side and act overly suspicious of others in the form of conspiracy theories.  I will say this, October is an intense month that only seems shallow on the surface.  It's like that lake where you walk a few feet and end up on the deep end and you thought you were just dipping your toes.

November and December also pose challenges for humanity.  If you would like a transit reading, I'm giving readings via Pay Pal (donations) in September. Jupiter in Leo--A Year of Living Dangerously Selfish

When I noticed the Jupiter in Leo transit coming up, I thought that either humanity would open its collective heart chakra and bring healing to the world.  Or humanity would slip into hedonistic and selfish behavior.  Sadly, the later is the case and we've only just begun the transit.

Leo represents in its most positive heartfelt actions and emotions; generosity, entertainment, creativity, and getting in touch with our inner child.  The negative traits of Leo include melodrama, selfishness, arrogance, hedonistic behavior, narcissism, materialism, consumerism, and hogging the proverbial stage because 15 minutes of fame is not enough for Leo.

Jupiter expands what it touches and like Leo is represented by Fire.  Jupiter is the life of the party, the adventurer who lives to extremes. Jupiter expands waistlines and waxes philosophies without backing up those words with action.  Jupiter favors idealism, higher education, religion and foreign travel.  When Jupiter lands in an individual's or nation's money house, money expands as bubble economies.  Remember the real estate bubble of the the early years of this decade that crashed after Pluto left Sagittarius and moved into Capricorn in 2008?  When Jupiter moves into Virgo during the summer of 2015, we will witness another crash of one kind or another as the behaviors from the past year come under Virgo's scrutiny.  While Leo is the king of the world, Virgo represents the shrinking violet or the prim spinster.

Personally, I have encountered selfishness from others.  People who would normally show me warmth and friendship have detached from me as I endure a challenging time.  Oddly, I have Jupiter in Leo falling in my 8th House of other people's resources.  Meanwhile, Saturn in Scorpio straddles my MC and 10th or Public House opposing Jupiter in my 4th House representing home/security/mother.  Uranus in Aries is in my 3rd House of Communication so I want to shake up the status quo.  Pluto is on my First House of transformed identity and learning to love myself.  And Neptune dissolves my emotional and creative boundaries in my Second House.  And yes, I show myself compassion and kindness as I face these challenging transits.

However, other people have played games with me, even if not intentional.  And it's not just me.  There is a disregard for the other now because that takes away from selfish pursuits. And like the Loreal ad once said, "Because I deserve it" holds true to a certain extent (meaning I support self-love), when we don't honor other people, we also dishonor ourselves.  Frankly, that is not self-love, but narcissism.  If we look at ourselves in the mirror and don't see humanity staring back, then something is missing from the picture.

Jupiter in Leo has the potential to open heart chakras and expand generosity.  However, anytime we open our hearts we have to purge the darkness lingering there first.  We have to revisit heartbreak and challenging times in our own lives which we thought we could just sweep under the carpet.  But Leo also represents courage and confidence so if we choose not to be lazy and do the work, we can emerge as a Santa Claus figure showing benevolence to others.  In doing this type of work we ascend into higher frequencies which lead us to experience higher dimensions.  That's why our souls returned to the Earth at this time.

With Jupiter in Leo, my greatest comfort has come from the smiles and laughter of children.  While they don't know my story on a conscious level, the cheer they bring to my life heals me.  Dogs have also flocked to me with their open hearts and given me support in their canine way.  Now, I don't know what others are going through, but I have heard some stories that have opened my heart chakra.  I have at least reached out energetically to others suffering now. In any case, we're never alone.  There's always someone who comes around as I quote Lou Reed's "Sunday Morning".

The challenge with Jupiter in Leo is to heal the heart and develop courage to face the real music on the planet.  We are here to heal ourselves and each other.  And that really is the best gig in town.

Pisces Full Moon on September 8, 2014

La Luna by Patricia Herlevi
Just a quick note the Pisces Full Moon occurring on September 8 promises spiritual treasures as well as, prosperity for people with prominent Water and Earth elements in their Natal Charts.  Look for Natal Planets in Water and Earth Signs at 11 to 21 degrees.  The Full Moon is at 16 degrees Pisces will trine Saturn in Scorpio, sextile Pluto in Capricorn and conjunct Chiron in Pisces.

I was born with a Pisces disseminating Moon so I will definitely feel this Moon as it trines my Natal Neptune in my 10th/MC, conjuncts my Natal Chiron and sextiles my Natal Jupiter in the 4th House.  I will finally land in a healthy home!

I will write more later when I get a chance.
