Pediatric Astrology & Nurturing Childhood Talents

While some children have delved into dance, music, and athletic training during their pubescent or teen years, most children perform better when they begin training at a much earlier age. However, what I've seen happening is parents using a patchwork approach to discovering their children's talents and passions. The problem with this trial and error approach is that a child gets burned out quickly and loses the ability to concentrate on any particular discipline. This is where Pediatric Astrology can help.

When Pediatric Astrologers gaze at a child's chart looking for talents, we look for strong placement of planets in the 2nd House of talents and resources, as well as, the 5th House for performing arts skills, and we could look for latent talents in the 12th House which is the Pisces House representing dance, music, movie-making, photography and spiritual gifts. We also look at the 6th House of health and daily routine.

The Zodiac placement of the planets (especially the personal planets) in a chart also reveal the type of lifestyle, skills, talents, and passions that a child has. For instance, a child with several planets or Sun, Moon or Ascendant in Leo (or even the polar opposite Aquarius) possess talents in the performing arts or aspire to being on stage or the center of attention. But this could also lead to public speaking, radio (if Gemini or Virgo are heavy in the chart), storytelling, working as clowns or even teaching if Jupiter or Saturn fall in Leo. But of course, we're looking at a child's chart and teaching is something we do later in life.

Astrologers look for configurations such as Yods (talents bloom later in life and are a type of synthesis of previous training and experiences), T-Crosses and Grand Crosses (which cause a child to work harder and overcome more obstacles) and Grand Trines which supply the talent but not the drive. A combination of a T-Cross and Grand Trine work well together. One provides the talent and the other the motivation to overcome obstacles.

However, let's get back to why Pediatric Astrology is a crucial tool for pointing children in the right direction to developing their gifts and talents at an early age. Sadly, the way most parents handle this situation involves enrolling their children in too many activities. The children are not able to focus on any one area or to develop in a strong way. It's true children are influenced by their peers and want to try what the other kids are doing, but we already have too much scattered energy in the world as it is, with too much multi-tasking, too many parents acting as their children's chauffers and not spending enough quality time with their children in a fun and joyful way.

Instead of creating generations of dabblers, it's best to find two or three extracurricular activities at best. So what if your child isn't "well-rounded". With the exception of a renaissance child (someone who does have talents in science/math, athletics, and the arts), most children are gifted in one particular area such as dance, music, science, sports, or just overall creative. And so a Pediatric Astrology chart reading reveals those talents early on along with the child's temperaments, shadows, and areas that require work.

I'm going to end this article with a story of a dear friend. When she was young girl she wanted to become a professional ballet dancer so she began taking ballet lessons in elementary school. However, she grew up in a small town the first teacher she took lessons with, lacked the training to teach ballet for a professional level. By the time, a new teacher came along, my friend was already 13 years of age and told that she lacked the training to become a professional ballet dancer and was too old to learn how to do toe and other requirements correctly. So that dream was crushed.

And in a situation like the one my friend experienced, a Pediatric Astrologer could work with the parent and child as far as exploring other areas of interests and talents or take the skills learned in ballet training into another arena or transferring it to another dance genre. My own story revolved around wanting to become a professional musician, but I suffered from dyslexia when it came to reading music and I flunked the audition to get into the high school band. A Pediatric Astrology would have shown me other ways to apply my musical gifts which unfortunately, took me decades to discover with years of bitterness sandwiched in between.

Pediatric Astrology acts as a shortcut to discovering talents, motivation, and other personality traits required for successful endeavors that begin at an early age. Any child is precocious in some area of their life and no child is a loser. They all have gifts they bring to the world, but some children develop more slowly than others. Albert Einstein's teachers thought he was an idiot and boy, were they wrong. Pediatric Astrology is a tool that benefits children and parents. It takes out all the guesswork and leads to clear paths of destiny.

Pisces Full Moon--Practical as opposed to Magical Dreaming

I would expect Neptune to be well, nebulous and the chart for the Pisces Full Moon on August 29 could be interpreted as having or not having a Mutable T-Cross.

(And this is another moon wearing an "S" on its chest because it's a Super Moon).

The chart I made on Astro.com has a T-Cross including Sun and Jupiter in Virgo, Neptune and Moon in Pisces and pulls in Saturn (still in Scorpio). Now, I personally, don't want to read this as a T-Cross since Saturn is not yet in the Mutable Sign Sagittarius and I prefer to keep my Saturn aspects tight (Saturn represents a concentrated energy).

However, we could make the argument that Saturn is two degrees away from transiting back into Sagittarius where it was from December 2014 until it transited backwards into Scorpio mid-June. I ask those of you with Scorpio or Sagittarius Moon, Sun, or Ascendant to feel this out for yourselves. To be or not to be a T-Square.

I'm going to take a different approach with this moon since I have grown weary spouting off planetary transits in conjunction with each new and full moon. And I wonder how this technical information goes down with you as you read the posts on this blog. So as a native with a Pisces Moon which works extremely hard in my birth chart, I'm going to focus upon the Pisces and Virgo polarity. I think this information will come in handy during the Solar Eclipse in Virgo mid-September. You see with the North Node transiting into Virgo this November (as I mentioned in the Jupiter and North Node in Virgo post), the series of upcoming eclipses with the exception of the September Lunar Eclipse in Aries, will shine a spotlight on the Pisces-Virgo polarity and axis.

And for most of us, this speaks of spirituality whether we consider ourselves spiritual or not. We're already seeing this played out with people who feel the Uranus-Pluto revolutionary square but don't know anything about astrology mistake this energy for big changes such as a comet destroying the earth and those of us who follow a certain set of rules go to a place called heaven and those of us who are more aligned with Uranus go the other direction. I'm making  light of a serious topic, but I'm seeing this energy played out in Bible passage painted on the walls of building (a new kind of graffiti), and with hardcore Christians standing with signs sporting flames of hell on street corners (busy intersections) either shouting at or pleading with passerby.

Neptune
In fact, my nephew tells me that if I don't give up this astrology thing I'm going in a downward spiral. Personally, I'm in the league with Pluto and he scoffs at me, "Wake up." Well, this is coming from a kid who plays violent computer games and since he's Indigo, thinks he knows everything there is to know. And he's not the only person like that. The thing about Virgo is that when this energy is imbalanced we judge, act out of intolerance and look for someone to scapegoat or play the martyr. We might even volunteer to play the martyr, depending on other transits in the chart.

Virgo is not about sacrificing to prove a point, it's about service from the heart which we hopefully developed during Leo transits. Virgo is about living and communicating one's values but in a way that doesn't make other people feel less than or put upon. The North Node transits out of fair-minded and diplomatic Libra into Virgo so we know how to play nice in the sandbox and now our fate revolves around fixing problems, not complaining about them. We're not going to experience cooperation from others if we're so caught up in our egos that we have to be right and wouldn't it be nice if the government took all our ideas and solutions and fixed all the world's problems so we can go off and sleep in a hammock with our hands clutching a beer?

Now, Pisces, the other side of the polarity tells us that we know how to behave compassionately, we know how to forgive and practice unity consciousness. It's the opposite of ego, but this doesn't mean we dismiss our egos or try to destroy them since what we resist persist. First off, we require to know what it is we value and know what dreams are hiding in our hearts then own those values and dreams. Then we take full responsibility for living our lives and allowing others to live theirs. Right there we solve the problem of having to go to war because of differing ideologies. Other people's perception, illusions, stories, theories, opinions, judgements, problems, lifestyles, and beliefs are none of our business. Our business is to focus upon the reality we desire to manifest in the world and know that there isn't just one reality, but 7+ billion realities, but all spokes of the same cosmic wheel, if you can imagine that.

Wikipedia
As we move out of the Age of Pisces, we haven't passed all the spiritual tests yet which is why we are tangled up in Mutable transits this and next year. Cardinal transits start the fire, but then the Mutable transits take over and stoke the flames of revolution, which is really a spiritual revolution. Many changes, big and small are on the way and there is no turning back. And any event that happens in conjunction with an eclipse or Uranus-Pluto square or even Saturn-Neptune square points to endings and there is no going back. Think of it as you're walking down a hall and you pass through a door and the door shuts behind you. You turn back to the door, but it's locked so you have no choice but to walk forward to the next door and you repeat this process until you reach the end of the hall and the last door. Pisces represents the endpoint and so does a full moon. Dissolve what no longer works and make room for the new. This requires faith and this full moon has plenty of faith attached to it.

So if you get divorced during this time, move on. You won't be returning to that relationship and that karma is complete. If you relocate to a new city or town, you're not returning to the old one. Think of it as death because these changes are permanent and we are going to realize that during the Pisces Full Moon. If you must perform a ceremony or a ritual to symbolize ending a phase in your life. Then muster your courage to face the unknown, but know that it's much better then the previous chapter of your personal book.

But this energy is not about breaking apart especially if partnerships are solid. We have three duets in this chart (Jupiter-Sun, Mars-Venus, and Moon-Neptune). I see duets as representing partnerships. The first duet falls in Virgo, the second in Leo and the third in Pisces. We are once again looking at what we value and aligning with people who share those values.

But we are fooling ourselves if we don't know our values and then we align with someone else. And one of those values has to be self-love because if we don't honor ourselves no one else will. We also must balance our emotions and not get tangled up in assumptions (Moon-Neptune in Pisces). Pisces loves confusing us but Virgo asks us to use discernment and create appropriate boundaries because even though we want to love everyone we encounter this is still not a good idea. Neptune and Pisces also represents the con man or slippery woman.

The positive side of the Pisces Full Moon is that if we align ourselves with healthy energy, we manifest our dreams. We also hone our intuitive skills and allow ourselves to dream, even daydream. Pisces is going to test our compassion and understanding but rewards us too with epiphanies and heightened intuition, not to mention powerful dreams. And like the Leo New Moon we could also experience the sublime while engaging in the arts. Those of you with your moon in a Water Sign will most likely sail through this full moon.

This autumn we experience challenging transits with outer planets locked into squares and oppositions. Sign up for a reading on this blog or Metaphysics 4 Everyday Living. Please read the information in the Whole Astrology tabs for fees, services, and policies first before contacting me.

Announcing new pocast series Cosmic Capers (Pediatric Astrology)

I posted the first podcast of a 12-part series of Cosmic Capers (A Gaze at Pediatric Astrology). You can view or listen to the podcast on YouTube. If you are new to astrology and find this video too technical, please refer to the Astro Cheat Sheet tab above. Also I use the term stellium a lot and this is simply four or more planets in the same sign or close together in the same house. It gets a bit more technical than that but for the purpose of this video, that description suffices.

Jupiter in Virgo--Mr. & Mrs. Fix-it Take on the Big Jobs

Jupiter, Wikipedia
Only the Fire Signs won't be sighing with relief when Jupiter rolls out of Leo into Virgo on August 12. On one hand, we could end up tightening the belt financially speaking, big-spending has ended, and the train ride of self-love (though a necessary journey) is replaced with self-improvement. Our attention turns to implementing solutions, getting organized, communicating directly, and even losing the weight we gained during the Jupiter in Leo transit.

Virgo is wonderful for getting work done or getting down to work. However, we become too critical of self and of others so we must refrain from nitpicking and focusing on problems. It's easy to fall into negative thinking since Virgo is the co-ruler of Mercury, but the same time Virgo gets to the point--not a sign for beating around a bush. We take pride in our work or at least we justify the time we spend on a project or a job trying to perfect a product or a service. Since Virgo focuses on service and how we serve others, healers are going to enjoy the Jupiter transit in Virgo because that wave of self-improvement will bring clients to their doorstep--in some cases, lining up. This is also a great time for anyone who works in the communications field such as editors, and librarian and teachers benefit too.

The downside of Jupiter in Virgo if it falls in the 1st or 6th house is that some people can develop a distorted body image leading to eating disorders or overexercising. Virgo reminds me of those old time saints who whipped and tormented themselves because they didn't feel worthy or perfect enough in the eyes of God. Some of those nun saints were even known for starving themselves, but I don't think this had anything to do with body image unless they were working on tarnishing their beauty or negating sexual thoughts/feelings. While Virgo is known as the Virgin, I've known very few Virgos who didn't lose their virginity as soon as possible. While Scorpio gets the most attention for sexuality, Virgo can also obsess about sex and even possess a distorted view of sex such as with cleanliness and over protection against disease.

In fact, I find it only slightly ironic that an epidemic of herpes and the emergence of AIDS happened when the Pluto in Virgo Generation came of age. In fact, I'm a member of that generation and I remember my first week on campus hearing about the herpes breakout in the dorms and not much later, I read about AIDS in a tiny article tucked in the back of Rollingstone Magazine (1982). Virgo also rules technology and this generation (along with Pluto in Leos) ushered in the personal computer thus landing us in the tech age.

But you're probably wondering how Jupiter in Virgo is going to affect you over the course of the next year or until August 2016 when Jupiter transits into Libra. So I'll break it down by Zodiac Sign which you can read for your Sun, Moon, and Ascendant. I'll try not to poke fun at any sign, though I have that tendency when I write these lighter articles.

Jupiter in Virgo

Aries

Aries is one of two signs that could form a Yod with Jupiter in Virgo if a sextile between a planet in Aquarius and a planet in Aries with a 3 degree or less orb form inconjuncts with Jupiter in Virgo. So if you have, for example, Mars in Aquarius at 6 degrees sextiling with Venus in Aries at 4 degrees and both forming an inconjunct with Jupiter in Virgo as it transits  between 3 and 7 degrees, you will experience a transiting yod. This isn't a bad thing since Aries normally is an impulsive sign and a Yod allows Aries to pause and reflect before acting. Yods retard action.

If you're an Aries or Mars type Jupiter in Virgo feels too grounding, too fussy, and too much like a parental figure who nags and tells you to grow up. Jupiter in Virgo won't put up with selfish behavior or too much individualism. It also won't put up with a pioneering spirit unless it is in service for a greater good. But for the most part, Aries will miss Jupiter in Leo and now will feel like it's eating humble pie for dessert or forgoing dessert completely.

Taurus

As a fellow Earth Sign, Taurus welcomes Jupiter in Virgo, especially in the area of health, beauty, and agriculture. For the Taurus type, this marks a time of either giving body work to others or getting body work done on themselves, mainly massage. It's a time of changing the diet and getting digestion in order. Even yoga goes well now, as does, getting into an exercise routine and clearing out heavier foods from the diet. Gardening and farming go well for the next year and you might even study up on new solutions for dealing with pests and other problems. Working with herbal medicine goes well too.

Gemini

Normally, we would think that the Air Sign Gemini would not act too pleased to have Jupiter in an Earth Sign, but Gemini and Virgo share the planet Mercury in common. Gemini types not only finally write that book they've been talking about for 12 years, but edit it as well. People who work in the communications field with either Gemini or Virgo figuring prominently in their birth charts will learn new technology and take writing or marketing workshops. If you are a Gemini type author, attend a writer conference. Now is a fantastic time to network with like-minded people who are solution-oriented. Journalism under Jupiter in Virgo takes on darker more scathing tones. So let's try our best to focus on what's good in the world such as checking out the Good News Network. Yes, it's real.

Cancer

Since Cancer deals with the stomach, hearth, home, and mother, Cancer types thrive when Jupiter is in Virgo and forms sextiles with Cancer planets. The gaze is again at diet, nutrition, and self-nurturing through food. Cancer types will however, feel more sensitive than usual (which is a lot) and feel forced to change the diet due to allergies and intolerance that crop up. The other thing that could happen, and it's already happening to me is losing a tastes for certain foods and trying out new foods or returning to foods not eaten in a long while. I've actually found myself wandering around the food coop finding most food unappealing and worrying that I could end up like the character in Margaret Atwood's The Edible Woman! Food suddenly tastes too salty, too sulfur, or like it's going bad when it's not. This is the type of thing a Cancer type can expect when Jupiter transits in Virgo. We could also become to critical of mothers.

Leo

Ah, poor Leo types. Jupiter in Virgo is going to add a damper to your party because Virgo promotes humility and sublimates the ego. Virgo usually turns a jaundice eye on Leo anyway and now that behavior is exaggerated with Jupiter. Leo wants to go shopping and Virgo says, you already have too many clothes, too big a house, or too fancy a car. Leo wants to play and Virgo reminds Leo that the house is in need of repairs. Leo starts experiencing heart problems and Virgo brings in a team of doctors including a nutritionist, that sort of thing. But a little humility and self-care go a long way, Leo. Take advantage of this time to regroup and transform negative behaviors into gold. Think of Virgo as the alchemist.

Virgo

For Virgo, Jupiter in Virgo acts as a double-edged sword. On one hand, Jupiter in one's own sign brings gifts, and a positive turn of events. But too much Virgo (remember Jupiter exaggerates the sign's energy), could cause Virgo to not feel deserving or good enough. Virgo feels that she's not thin enough, or smart enough, or efficient and then Virgo starts worrying which leads to anxiety. But on the other hand, we look to Virgo for solutions, for editing our manuscripts, especially when Jupiter the planet of publishers is in Virgo. We might even see the the best editing coming out of publishing houses that we've seen in a long time. Not only that, independent authors might wish to polish their editing so return to traditional publishing to reap the rewards of expert editors (some of the authors anyway).

Libra

Libra types have little patience for Virgo so Jupiter transiting in Virgo for a year could create imbalance for Libras. For example, Libras prefer to keep conversations light and positive and then Jupiter in Virgo brings in a long list of problems facing the world. The Libra type tries to change the subject and get Virgo to look on the brighter side, but Virgo just finds Libra shallow and uncaring about all the suffering happening in the world. So then the Libra type responds with positive thinking and affirmations while Jupiter in Virgo scoffs, "Yeah, like that's going to solve anything." Libra represents the wide-eyed dreamer and peace-maker, while Virgo considers him or herself the problem-solver and realist.

Scorpio

Scorpio will obsess more about sex, but focus on healing with sex such as sexual healing or get medical attention for those sexual diseases they have kept secret. Scorpio focuses also on healing of the colon and other parts of the body and they might go on a de-tox colon cleanse hyper drive. Medical journalists will harp about cleansing the body of heavy metals, microbes, and parasites to the point where we all get tired of their scare tactics. Scorpio will also deal more with reproduction (wanted and unwanted) and some family history secrets could surface now such as a child finding out that he or she was adopted. However, there's a nice sextile between planets in Scorpio and Jupiter in Virgo which lead to regeneration and deep healing with roots in the deep subconscious. Psychology and hypnotherapy go well now.

Sagittarius

Sagittarius rules Jupiter and is a Mutable Sign along with Virgo so there's some entanglement going on with these two. Sagittarius and Jupiter rule law, publishing, religion, higher education and other areas that have fallen under scrutiny so Virgo brings solutions and perfection in these areas. Although Sagittarius is a Fire Sign and Virgo and Earth Sign, I think these two energies can blend well together though they will have to curb sarcasm and criticism.  Sagittarius types will still want to travel, but now with their ruling planet Jupiter in Virgo, they might worry more about bedbugs, germs, pandemics, problems with airlines and air travel as Virgo does tend to worry and is also known as being hypochondriac, especially if planets in Sagittarius fall in the 6th house or planets in Virgo fall in the 6th house (double in that case).

Capricorns

Capricorn types, especially Capricorn Moon and Sun are going to love Jupiter in Virgo because when Jupiter is in a Earth Sign, it trines and tames Pluto in Capricorn. So those of you Capricorns with your Sun, Moon, or Ascendant in the 13 to 15 degree range will experience less of an impact from the Uranus-Pluto square then other Capricorns who already experienced their Pluto and Uranus transits. Jupiter in Virgo trines Pluto in Capricorn and inconjuncts (retards energy) Uranus in Aries. However, you will also be robbed of a full transformational experience that the raw energy of Uranus squaring Pluto would bring you. It's like you have a safety net beneath you so you can take more risks, but you could also become lazy and ignore the opportunity to transform. Still Jupiter in Virgo brings purity to your diet, daily work, and your life. Don't kick a gift horse in the mouth.

Aquarius

Aquarius is the other sign that experiences inconjuncts with Jupiter in Virgo (see Aries). If Aquarius types work too hard during this Jupiter in Virgo year, they could experience nervous breakdowns or burn out of some kind or another. Jupiter in Virgo is going to overemphasize work, especially for people working in astrology, architecture, inventing, engineering, and high tech. There will be a tendency to not release software or other products on the market because the Aquarius type feels that those products aren't good enough or fall under too much scrutiny. We could also witness out-of-the-blue changes in social media or software that causes humanity to rebel or innovative solutions to longstanding problems in which case the Aquarius type emerges the hero of the day. We could also see innovations in medicine, especially energy medicine through breakthroughs in the mind-body field.  People will exaggerate the Aquarius Age, acting like it's the solution to all our problems. It's not.

Pisces

Pisces types experience Jupiter in Virgo as an opposition, but this isn't a bad thing. Take this time Pisces to ground your nebulous visions and allow Virgo to gaze critically on those visions to create a step-by-step process to manifest the visions in the real world. Don't swim away or toss in the towel Pisces, if Jupiter in Virgo gives you some fix-it patches or appears too critical because the Virgo ideas are just what you require to manifest your dreams. In fact, Virgo and Pisces could work well together.

Many years ago, I sent my screenplays to a Virgo editor who took a red pen to my precious visions. I was crushed at first, even felt like giving up, and feeling sorry for myself. But the Pluto/Uranus in Virgo part of me which opposes my Moon/Saturn in Pisces told me to get to work and listen to the editor's suggestions. He was right after all. I not only wrote a phenomenal screenplay with his suggestions, but he also taught me to write pitches that captured the attention of producers. No, I never sold the screenplay, but I learned a lot. And that's the opportunity Jupiter in Virgo brings to Pisces this coming Jupiter transit. Stay open, Pisces because wisdom comes in many guises.

Requests for Children's Charts for Video Series

I decided to launch a new series, Cosmic Capers that focuses on Pediatric Astrology. I found out a way to anonymize the charts so that your child's identity is protected. So if you're interested in having your child's chart featured in the series, send me the birth data (date of birth, time of birth, location) and a question. I'll read the chart, answer the question and post an anonymized version of the chart in the video so that viewers can see the planets and aspects.

I decided to create a series with 12 podcasts each representing a Zodiac Wheel house and one chart reading. So at the moment, I'm requesting 11 birth charts to complete the series.

My initial plan is to make one 15 minute video per month. I'm only allotted 15 minutes on YouTube, but in the future, I'll move the series to Vimeo and go longer. For now I can feature one child per video, but of course the readings are always universal.

If you're interested in participating in the series, contact me through the form on the right side of the blog. Let's have some fun and educate ourselves at the same time. Please note this is not a free astrology reading, but looking at a chart to answer a single question. If you would like your child's chart read, there is a fee (see fees and services in the tabs).

Astrology Forecast for September 2015--Initiation into Soul Mastery

I'll talk more about it in future posts, ideally, the Solar and Lunar eclipses posts for September's moons, but September launches a crunchy season that lasts through December 2015. It might last longer but I haven't viewed the transits for 2016 yet. In September, Saturn moves into Sagittarius, Mercury goes retrograde, and we experience Solar and Lunar eclipses both with double-t-crosses.

When we begin September, change is already in the air with the Sun/Jupiter in Virgo and Neptune/Chiron in Pisces. Then on September 18, Saturn moves back into Mutable Sagittarius, then on the 12th we experience a Solar Eclipse in Virgo at 20 degrees and then Mars moves into Virgo on the 24/25. So that tells the Mutable Signs side of the story. (I'll cover the Solar Eclipse in Virgo in another post).

We're not through with the Cardinal Signs yet, since Uranus, still Retrograde backtracks closer into a square with Pluto (which goes direct on the 25th at 12 degrees). So by the end of the month, we have a Cardinal T-Cross highlighted by the Lunar Eclipse in Aries and of course, Mercury RX joins up in two Cardinal T-Crosses and eclipses which is going to tests our communication skills to the max. Meanwhile, when all of this planetary fireworks takes place in the sky, children and young adults are heading back to school, while other people are coming out of the vacation mode, at least in the Northern Hemisphere. But now we're sucked up in a twister and spit out in the Land of Weird.

Virgo Solar Eclipse
But here is the message of the September planetary transits, we're not going back to business-as-usual. Many of those plans we placed on the shelves to dust off after the summer/winter months are to put it nicely, dead in the water.  That is if those plans had no spiritual basis and did not account for the huge shift happening on the planet that began happening as early as 1987 with the Harmonic Conversion. Those of you who follow the planets know what I'm talking about, while others scratch their heads in confusion and ask me, "What's going on with the planets?" Even though they don't actually care about astrology and think astrologers are a bunch of fools. Well, not any longer.

What were also seeing with these transits is that Saturn now in Sagittarius is now moving into a square with Neptune which will grow tighter until the exact square in November. Also in November the North Node moves out of Libra into Virgo, as I have mentioned in earlier posts. Now from Jupiter through Pluto, all the outer planets are either in Mutable or Cardinal Signs and both of these qualities are about tossing out the status quo and usher in enormous changes on all levels. With Jupiter out of Leo (sigh of relief from this astrologer) and into Virgo, we're going to move into a damage-control mode to assess what a year of lazy and pleasure-seeking behavior has done to the planet.

But all the tension aside, if you're someone with a lot of Mutable planets, now is your time to shine. Now is your time to lead the way, teach, inspire, travel, and report what's happening in the world and walk your path of service. Now, when I'm talking service, I mean using your unique talents to spread healing and love in the world. If you have many planets or prominent points of your chart in Cardinal Signs then you're still acting as the fire-starter knocking down the Patriarchal system and building new structure that is based on equality and then restoring balance, especially with planets in Libra. It's time to speak your truth, practice integrity, and implement solutions to problems without waiting for the green light first which would take eons to happen. It's time to step out of the old-style corporate arena (which doesn't value human life or the planet), and forge a career as entrepreneurs with products and services that heal the planet.

Let's feed our souls by feeding the hungry and let's clean up our daily routine by cleaning pollution from the earth. That's the themes of the double t-crosses and eclipses.

Super complex Aries Lunar Eclipse
Don't get me wrong, I still believe in the Law of Attraction and positive thoughts. I still believe in affirmations, but I also promote clearing away the old to make room for the new. And the new energies wanting to come in are nothing short of beautiful and peaceful. We are now asked to clean out the closet to let something of a higher quality into our lives. The image I have is of a young woman wearing rags and shoes with holes in the soles because she's attached to them, when someone is presenting her with an entirely new wardrobe. But she doesn't feel that she deserves this gift so the story goes. Why do so many of use feel undeserving?

The new energy is that we all deserve good just because we're on this planet and are children of a vast Universe. Unconditional love is around us at all times if only we acknowledge it and that is what Neptune in Pisces does for us. So I'm a bit nervous about these upcoming transits as any sane person would be, but I'm also excited about the changes coming down the pike. I'm Cancerian so I understand where the woman in my image is coming from because I don't enjoy tossing stuff out. But how many of us can wear two pairs of shoes at the same time? Are we going to keep walking in the old pair of shoes or are we going to embark in a new direction wearing the Ruby slippers?

Major Transits:

Venus goes Direct, 6th
Venus conjunct Mars in Leo, 1 - 12
Solar Eclipse in Virgo, 12th
Mercury RX, 17th
Saturn into Sagittarius, 17/18th
Jupiter trine Pluto, 17-30
Sun moves into Libra, 22/23rd
Pluto goes Direct, 24th
Mars moves into Virgo, 25th

Do you want to know where you fit into this Soul Mastery initiation? I'll be giving 3 to 4 month transit readings this autumn (just because there's too much happening transit-wise to do full reports). And I'll be giving other types of readings too including Solar Returns (I highly recommend SR chart readings for anyone born from September through December).  Sign up on the side of the blog after you read the fees and services tabs above. Whole Astrology Policy and Fees

Ever so often, I receive requests for free readings or readings per trade. Due to financial and time constraints, I'm unable to respond to these requests. For any of you who have practiced or practice astrology, you know that reading a chart is not something an astrologer can just whip up. It takes hours of my time to read a chart properly and then another hour or two to type up the report. So please do not send me requests for free readings. As far as trade, I did trades in the past and found those situations unsatisfactory at best so I no longer accept trade offers.

Contact astrology students looking for practice at Kepler College or check out astrology forums such as Astro.com where you can post a question and astrologers can respond to it, again for practice or exposure. You can also look for astrology groups on Face Book and other social media where you can post your questions.

The only free services I offer are information on this blog (which is educational, if you want to take time to read the numerous posts here) and my astrology videos on Astrologer Patricia. In addition, I have plans of launching another astrology series on YouTube or Vimeo featuring Pediatric Astrology where I will explore charts of children as responding to parents' questions. This is further down the road as I'm currently in the process of relocating to a new home and building my astrology practice.

I also don't understand why people from across the world are contacting me when I'm mainly a regional astrologer in the northwest corner of the United States. Please support the astrologers in your own region since they are more likely to relate to you culturally and regionally. I believe in supporting local economies. If you don't know of any astrologers in your town or city, then do a online search for your region. I can't guarantee that any of those astrologers would do free readings because the expert astrologers all charge fees unless they are giving free readings on an online radio program or a tele-summit. You would be more likely to find card readers giving free readings than astrologers.

Thank you for your understanding.
