North Node Transits into Leo--May 10, 2017

Image
I think that the big news for May is the North Node moving into Leo, the Sign of the Lion. For those of you unfamiliar with the North Node, this is a destiny marker in astrology charts. The North and South Nodes determine where we experience the Solar and Lunar Eclipses. And the North Node changes signs every 18 months which translates to a year and a half. When the North Node was in Libra and the South Node was in Aries, we learned the lessons of balance, justice, and diplomacy while focusing upon relationships with self and with others. Then when the North Node transited into Virgo (the Node transits in counter clockwise direction), we focused on service versus our personal healing. Now, with the North Node transiting into Leo on May 10 and the South Node transiting into Aquarius, our focus is on expressing ourselves as individuals versus joining a tribe or community. For those of you who focus too much on self, your challenge is to expand yourself into your society or com

Gemini New Moon for May 25, 2017---Confusion, Chaos, & Enthusiasm

Photo by Patricia Herlevi The words to Diana Ross' song, "Mahogany" filter through my brain as I look at the Gemini New Moon (2017) chart. Do we know where humanity is going now? I look at this chart and I feel like we have lost our way. We say one thing and act out of integrity with our words. Prior to the current regime in the US, I encountered kindness and peace more often. Now, I feel like someone tossed in the monkey wrench. This New Moon chart includes two T-Crosses (one Mutable and the other Cardinal). First, we have sun and moon in the Mutable Sign of the Twins. When the twins are acting in tandem we expect harmony, coordination and some humor tossed in. But when the twins are acting like the push-pull animal from the movie "Doctor Doolittle" we're in big trouble. This new moon is troublesome to say the least. It's not as confusing or disorienting as the exact Saturn-Neptune squares we encountered in 2016, but it's up th

Pluto RX--Taming the Monster in our Minds (April 20 until September 28), 2017

Image
Remember that this year we need to resolve those old wounds hiding out in our subconscious minds. And when Pluto goes retrograde from April 20 until September 28, 2017, we have the opportunity to clear up our patterns and beliefs. This is a fabulous window to delve into our deep subconscious, return to those childhood wounds and liberate ourselves. When Pluto goes retrograde we don't experience one huge transformational experience after another. We also find that others have less control and power over us. The oligarchs take a breather. The six month period allows us to sort and sift over the events from the past six months. When any planet goes retrograde we focus less on the outer world and spend more time in our hearts and minds. We get a grasps on why we endure so many dark nights of the soul. And we also realize that much of what we found insufferable was unnecessary if only we had done the clearing work. When Saturn goes retrograde we review the structure of our life. W

Scorpio Full Moon on May 10, 2017--Passionate Outbursts and Manifestations

We will finally see relief from the Uranus square with Pluto during the Scorpio Full Moon. However, we will still experience a Cardinal T-Cross that involves Pluto in Capricorn, Venus and the asteroid Pallas in Aries and Jupiter RX at 14 degrees Libra. The opposition with Jupiter and Pallas is exact which again, brings up the Divine Feminine and this time in the guise of Kali (Indian Goddess of Creation and Destruction). Venus is transiting in her opposite sign, that of a warrior (Mars/Aries) so she's either all fired up or playing a passive-aggressive role. Venus opposes Jupiter which is in the sign of Venus, Libra. So we experience a tug-of-war between our masculine and feminine sides of humanity. We seek balance. Pluto in Capricorn which goes about destroying structures or overpowers us with new laws or oligarchs posing as democratic leaders tosses in the wrench. On one hand, Pluto in Capricorn is our salvation if we reclaim our personal power. On the other hand, Pluto in Ca

Mercury Retrograde in Taurus/Aries---Slow Down and Pay Attention to Details

Just like people fear the reaper they also fear Mercury retrograde. So, take a few deep breaths and realize that Mercury is a small, personal planet, which is actually doing us a favor during a retrograde. And Mercury goes retrograde around three times a year for about three weeks. Last year, we experienced four retrogrades of Mercury. When Mercury moves too far ahead of the sun we actually experience an imbalance. Our identity and the way we communicate it gets muddled. We lose sight of our projects and stop paying attention to details or we fail to see the bigger picture as we plow through the life experience. We lose touch with people or we don't communicate clearly even when Mercury is at full speed and moving direct. So we get a time-out where the sun and Mercury align once again. This is why we must slow down and pay attention when Mercury is in retrograde motion. And believe it or not, some people don't have issues with this phase of Mercury or any planet going ret
