Uranus Transits from 1930s to 2019---Radical Change

For the past several months, I've been researching the ways Uranus has ushered in changes through several decades beginning in the 1940s. Originally, I was considering writing a series with PDFs for each transit per sign along with podcasts. But now, I'm considering writing a book that will include the 1960s transits and the Uranus transits.

For now, I'm going to include a brief article featuring each Uranus transit and the events and people that appeared during those times. The equation is Uranus' shocking grassroots energy + the themes of each Zodiac Sign. Uranus also formed a conjunction with Pluto in the 1960s. And after the Harmonic Convergence, the late 1980s, Uranus, Neptune, and Saturn formed a powerful Triple Conjunction in Capricorn. We're currently seeing the kids born during that time taking leadership positions (Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for starters).

The dates below sometimes don't include the dip back into the previous Zodiac Sign. Uranus moves into a new sign and then dips back into the previous sign during a retrograde. The transit in a sign is approximately 7 years but when Uranus transited in Aries recently, the entire transit, including its dip back into Pisces and its dip into Taurus in 2018 for several months, lasted 9 years.

A Uranus return occurs every 84 years so when a person turns 84-years old they experience a Uranus Return which brings them new vigor and a lease on life. This is when you see granny or grandad hiking across Europe or hopefully not, parachuting out of an airplane.  Consequently, the midlife crisis occurs around 44-years of age when the transiting Uranus opposes the Natal Uranus (Uranus in your birth chart). Both times, you can't help but notice the nervous system restless for change. Uranus always brings sudden and shocking changes. That's the only predictable aspect of Uranus.

Think of it this way, Uranus was found in the sky in the 1780s around the time of the French Revolution. I'm not going to discuss the origins of Uranus as far as modern astronomy and astrology go, but feel free to Google it because it's a fascinating story.

Uranus by Zodiac Sign

Taurus (1934 to 1941 with a dip into Aries in 1934-35)

The big event of 1934 when Uranus moved into Taurus was the Dustbowl in America's Great Plains. A drought beginning in 1930 had begun the situation and of course, Uranus was in the hot and dry sign Aries during the first part of the 1930s. The dustbowl caused farmers to lose their livelihoods and caravans of farmers and workers headed in caravans to California (read John Steinbeck's The Grapes of Wrath). This just on the tails of the stock market crash of 1929, a collapse of world economies and the world had fallen deep into the Great Depression.

Meanwhile, the rise of Fascism in Europe led to World War 2. And other astrologers have mentioned conservative (Fascist leadership and oligarchs) coincide with Uranus in Taurus. World War 2 began when the Germans bombed Poland on September 1939 and the US did not enter the war until the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor (Hawaii) on December 7, 1941, the year Uranus dipped into Gemini. In fact, WW2 continued into Uranus' transit into Gemini lasting until 1945 when the Germans surrendered.

What does Taurus represent? Taurus represents big agriculture, farming, farming methods, traditions, values, big financial institutions, and the stock markets. So, Uranus brought shocks to any situation that seemed unfair/unjust because Uranus represents "the people" versus the institutions.

Obviously, events such as war were happening in the Asian countries too. India grew restless under the English colonialism. This would lead to the Gandhi era and in 1947, India liberating itself from England and the Partition which split up the Muslims and the Hindus thus creating the country Pakistan. This led to civil war in India, but I'm getting ahead of myself.

The 1930s brought mass starvation around the world and war rationing in many nations. This was a time of food deprivation that leads to President D. Roosevelt (US)'s New Deal with the first wave in 1933 to 1934 and the second wave from 1935 to 1938. The New Deal put Americans back to work building bridges, dams, and other civic projects. Roosevelt also began the social security program.

Meanwhile, in Germany, Hitler envisioned a super race (tall white blonde people) and he ushered in his anti-Jew, anti-gypsy, anti-gay propaganda. But this did not stop African-American Jesse Owens from winning 4 Olympic Gold Medals in track and field in Berlin in 1936. An American crew team also brought home Olympic Gold Medals. In fact, if you want to learn more about this era, I recommend Daniel Brown's narrative non-fiction book, Boys in the Boat. This will also give you an idea of the heroics of the 1930s up until the end of this Uranus in Taurus transit.

Gemini (1941 to 1948)

Since this mutable Air Sign rules the brain, learning, teaching, and thinking styles along with city planning, K-12 education, teachers, writers, communication, and some technology (such as telephones, television sets, and broadcasting), Uranus brought new technology and logic to those areas during the 1940s. Language, words, and verbal expression also came under scrutiny towards the end of this Uranus transit leading to the Red Scare, the continual rise of Nazism (Uranus was opposite Sagittarius), and war correspondence mainly by American Edward R. Murrow.

Since the dark side of Gemini is represented by gossip, witch hunts, mental illness, and paranoia, not to mention a war with words, the McCarthy communist witch hunt started when Uranus transited in Taurus and continued until Uranus moved into clannish Cancer. And the argument about values which begun when Uranus was in Taurus continued during the Gemini transit too.

Meanwhile, a clash of ideologies and inhumane treatment of different ethnic groups (Sagittarius) immersed many countries in wars. War technology culminated in the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki on August 6 and 9, 1945, immediately killing 80,000 people in Hiroshima and 40,000 in Nagasaki. Nuclear type weapons fall under the planet Pluto's energy and Pluto was discovered in 1930 so it plays a role along with Uranus in the bombing of Japan's islands.

On a more positive note, by mid-1940s, the television set arrived in American homes. In 1946, 6,000 American homes owned a television set. By 1947, Howdie Doody came on the air, followed by productions by the Texaco Star Theater in 1948. By 1951, 12 million families owned a television set and by 1955, 50% of Americans had a television set in their homes.

In 1948, the US had four broadcast stations (ABC, NBC, CBS, and Dumont). Americans began a transition from listening to entertainment on the radio to watching black and white images on a small television screen. In this case, Uranus changed the collective by changing communication technology. The only event similar was in the 1990s when we started communicating through faxes and e-mails instead of by postal mail. Uranus in Gemini was also an information age in that it changed how information such as the news and entertainment was delivered.

City planning and urban design also fall under Gemini so we would expect to see changes in this area. What we know as suburbia began in the Post War (the late 1940s). Urban renewal also began in the 1940s with the clearance of slums and the arrival of housing projects for low-income people (which later transformed into slums and ghettos). The beginning of urban sprawl, fast food restaurants, and the worship of cars would occur in the 1950s when Uranus was in Cancer.

As far as education, improvements were made in rural areas where children only received 8 years of formal education and education acts were passed. But this picked up speed and momentum in the 1950s. The GI Bill was passed in the US in 1944 which led to V.A. mortgages and track housing in Levittown, New York and the San Fernando Valley in California.

This was also the era when the early baby boomers were born (also known as post-war babies) and women were pushed out of the labor force (they built weapons for the war and took over jobs of the men who were at war) and sent back into the home (now, be a good wife, won't you?) Many famous musicians and celebrities were born in the 1940s, either during WW2 or right after it.

That's just a glimpse of the transit of Uranus in Gemini. Obviously, more events occurred in the 7-year transit.

Also in the 1940s, and I'm guessing this is when Uranus was in Cancer if an American child refused to salute the flag, he or she was expelled from school. Schools are represented by Gemini but patriotism falls under Cancer. And this would be a shocking law.

Cancer (1948/49 to 1956)

Uranus took on a clannish approach when it arrived in the sign of Cancer. The focus was on revolutionizing motherhood, the home, children, and it brought the emergence of shocking music--rock and roll including Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley, and Little Richard. But the music industry cleaned up any hint of sexuality in the music and tried to replace it with wholesome white pop music by Pat Boone and Patty Page. Rock rebellion continued anyway.

During this era and into the 1960s, in the US, Americans focused on reproduction rights. Abortions were illegal and the birth control pill was on the way. The pill was approved by the FDA in 1960 but did not take off until 1962 when Uranus moved into Virgo (the Sign of the Maiden). Katherine McCormick and Margaret Sanger advocated for the safety of birth control and the pill, but this was when Uranus was in Leo (the individual) and most likely a backlash to the overemphasis on motherhood that occurred when Uranus transited in Cancer.

A showdown by broadcaster Edward R. Murrow and Joseph McCarthy (Red Scare) ended the communist "witch hunts" in the entertainment business and other institutions. Many celebrities lost their livelihoods and were shamed by the committee promoting "American values". Murrow emerged as a hero.

The Beat authors also known as the Beats, Be Bop jazz, road trips, and icons such as Marilyn Monroe (the complete opposite of the virtuous slave also known as a housewife), James Dean, Marlon Brando, and Audrey Hepburn became famous in the 1950s affecting fashion, and the ways women viewed themselves.

Urban development continued with the Federal Highway Act (US), urban renewal projects as in monstrous housing projects which later transformed into ghettos/slums, and the first fast food as in drive-thru restaurants appeared. This is the era when the American people's worship of cars took off and also the dependence on fossil fuels, mainly oil which lead to plastic replacing other materials.

The Civil Rights Movement began on December 1, 1955, when African-American Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat on a bus. The Civil Rights Movement continued with leaders such as Martin Luther King, Jr. and others. White Americans also joined the movement which included marches, rallies, sit-ins, and other civil disobedient acts which landed them in jail but ultimately led to laws to desegregate and bring equality in all areas of life (not that it has succeeded yet).

A Uranus wildness pervaded this period while testing sexuality, sexual mores, gender equality and roles, mobility outside of the home, and devices that promised to make the role of the housewife easier. Supermarkets also emerged on a mass level during this era. (The first supermarket was founded in the 1930s in New York).

The 1950s brought convenience at a cost to the environment and ushered in the era of overconsumption that led to urban sprawl, air pollution, the emptying of cities (people moved to the suburbs), and the construction of superhighways that crossed the US, bisected cities (think Seattle), and led to urban planning nightmares that we are still resolving today.

This was also the time of the Cold War which lasted until the late 1980s when the Soviet Union collapsed. This was a time of nuclear war protests and human rights issued simmered on the backburner waiting to rise full force in the 1960s when Uranus joined Pluto in Virgo. And in the 1960s, uncomfortable women's fashions would give-way to flowing gypsy skirts, miniskirts, the burning of bras (and girdles?), and long flowing hair (goodbye beehives). Life was about to get radical but first, Uranus traveled through Leo.

Leo (1956-62)

Musicians born during the late baby boomer years would eventually lead popular 1980s bands and appear in iconic 1980s movies. This includes The Bangles, The Go-Gos, The Pretenders, R.E.M., Elvis Costello, Prince, and Michael Jackson, to name a few. Uranus in Leo focused on show business and the stage especially. This was an era that brought revolutionary changes to cinema such as lightweight camera equipment that could be taken to the streets (voila the French New Wave cinema). Even American cinema gave way to youth culture and faster speech with slang tossed in which flourished in the 1960s.

The Beatles formed in Liverpool during this Uranus transit and by 1964 when Uranus moved into Virgo, Beatlemania was born. This was a time when people chose their ego or their heart. And some movies reflected upon the age of too much self-adoration such as La Dolce Vita by Federico Fellini which hit theaters in 1960. This was the age of paparazzi journalists and photographers, the age of rock singers and Hollywood stars.

This was the era when rock stars died in a plane (Uranus) crash including Richi Valens, the Big Bopper, and Buddy Holly, otherwise, known as,  "the day the music died." Marilyn Monroe died from an overdose (August 5, 1962). Uranus in Leo brought us drama on and off stage. Teens rebelled, joined gangs, hung out with Beat poets, and some dreamed of finding stardom.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the polarity, JFK was elected president, the Civil Rights Movement gathered steam along with with the Chicano Rights and Gay Rights movements (Uranus ignites grassroots revolutions).

From 1956 to 1962 Pluto transited from Leo to Virgo giving way to Generation X and Neptune transited from Libra to Scorpio. Then in 1962, Uranus moved into Virgo catching up to Pluto in exact conjunction in 1965. There was a whole lot of shaking going on as you'll see with the next transit.

In the realm of city planning and neighborhoods, journalist and advocate Jane Jacobs fought to preserve the village in Manhattan from being developed. She participated in a battle with Robert Moses (a developer) that resembled David and Goliath. As more American cities were undergoing destruction of their core centers with highways bisecting them and old neighborhoods disappearing, Jacobs fought for the rights of the everyday person or business owner living in a community. She published the book, The Death and Life of the Great American Cities. Her concepts and ideas are still revered by sustainable city planners.

*Virgo (1962 to 1969 with dips into Libra in 1969)

I've already covered the Uranus and Pluto transits in Virgo in my 1960s-born series. But let's do a recap of 1960s events. During 1962, JFK became president but his presidency was shortlived since he was assassinated on November 22, 1963 (while I was in my mother's womb). In 1962, Marilyn Monroe died and there would never be another star like her. Beatlemania blossomed in England and then traveled to America in 1964 and really should have been called teen screamania.

The baby boomers came of age and those people born when Pluto was in Leo unleashed an explosion of creativity and innovations in the performing arts. Rock music underwent a transformation in the US rock musicians found inspiration from the English Invasion along with drugs, the arrival of the birth control pill, miniskirts, and psychedelic drugs. When the draft for the Vietnam war went into effect, many young men defected to Canada and burned their draft cards. The explosion of creativity in music culminated in the Monterey Music Festival and Woodstock (all that rolling in the mud).

But the Uranus in Virgo was more than pop music and movie icons. The Civil Rights Movement continued leading to the deaths of MLK and Malcolm X. In 1968, both MLK and Robert Kennedy lost their lives to bullets. Following that, several rock singers died from drug overdoses including Brian Jones, Janis Joplin, Jim and Hendrix died in 1969 and 1970 (as we moved into Uranus in Libra). The Vietnam War continued and the US put a man on the Moon in 1969.

The energy of Uranus in Virgo focused on technology, medicine, the nervous system, diet, nutrition, and young women. When the generation born during the 1960s reached adulthood, they had the AIDS epidemic to contend with and wearing condoms became a regular part of their sexuality. This generation also desired to fix society, fix their abusive families, and transform the world through new forms of communication. They also brought us a new wave of acoustic rock and grunge music. It was this generation that gave birth to and made way to the first wave of millennials.

Libra (1970 to 1975)

Who didn't know someone that came from a divorced family during the 1970s? And who can forget the breakup of the Beatles who all but defined 1960s pop music and the British Invasion? Uranus ignited and busted partnerships of all kinds. If I remember correctly, many songs about breakups also surfaced around this time.

Uranus in Libra brought anything but diplomacy when you consider the divide that happened in the US with the Vietnam War (which a college professor referred to it as a Vietnam Invasion and not an actual war). But there was a war back home between the peacekeepers and the war makers. And the injustice that toppled the apple cart revolved around soldiers returning back from war not able to find the mental health support and healthcare they required. Meanwhile, the Iranian Revolution occurred between 1970 and 1977.

Due to oil embargos, people drove smaller cars (1973). I recall the long lines at the gas station. The US was in a recession and the school district I attended was unable to pass a levy so our sports teams wore ratty outdated uniforms and our textbooks were also past the expiration date. But don't despair because disco and ABBA were on the way to start the party with nothing to celebrate.

Generation Y was born during the 1970s when Uranus was in Libra and Scorpio and Pluto transited in Libra. But this decades saw a decrease in births and an increase in divorces. Many of these children came from one-parent households. Many of them were latch-key kids just like the children of Generation X. Either their single parent had to work or their mother could no longer stand the domestic scene and sought employment outside of the home. People also rebelled against authority and used charm to get their way.

Scorpio (1975 to 1981)

Uranus in Scorpio ushered in an explosion of sexuality, abortion rights (and having Medicaid cover the procedure), the rise in venereal diseases and the emergence of AIDS (but mainly with drug-users and gays). Later, AIDS would spread to anyone practicing promiscuous sex. By the end of this transit, the Pluto in Virgo folks grew into adults who sang the virtues of safe sex. This was also a time of high life as in cocaine and crack. Many people also sought psycho-therapy and even the Woody Allen movies made fun of adults in lifelong therapy.

Meanwhile, in 1976, Americans elected the Libra President Jimmy Carter who responded to the oil crisis by installing solar panels on the roof of the White House. The economic recession continued among political scandals and subterfuge by the Republicans who scapegoated Jimmy Carter and put Ronald Reagan in office ushering a time of econ majors and Michael Keaton (TV show Family Ties) lookalikes. Lady Diana married into the British Royal family and launched the media into the most scandalous paparazzi of all time that spanned two decades and some say was responsible for Princess Diana's death.

Disco came bringing its drum machines and electronic keyboards which paved the way for New Wave music which mainly came from England with bands such as Duran Duran, The Police, Elvis Costello...But the flipside of that was the arrival of punk from England--a new type of attitude that thumbed its nose at the elite and proved that a musician only needed to learn two or three chords to write a song. The Sex Pistols (a fabricated punk band created by a clothing shop owner), the Clash, answered by a slew of punk rockers from LA and other American cities.

Song lyrics of this era were either of a sensual nature (Taurus) or they spoke of revolutions, rebellion, and thumbing their nose at the elite who ignited conspiracies and secrets. The Clash introduced us to the corruption happening with the Sandinistas in Latin America.

Uranus in Scorpio kicked up dust around death, taxes, rebirth, sex, sexuality, sexual diseases, procreation, sexual rights, secrets, scandals, pornography, and anything with those themes meant to shock us out of complacency. And yet, people still flocked to the shopping malls in droves while others consumed and join the march against cancer and other diseases (Scorpio rules cancer and cancer treatments).

And let's not forget the 1976 Olympics hosted by Montreal, Canada which brought us decathlete Bruce Jenner and gymnast Nadia Comaneci who wowed the world with the perfect "10" scores.

Sagittarius (1981 to 1988)

Still stuck in an economic recession, many people fought hard to obtain student grants and loans so that they acquired a university education. This was an era of Reaganomics and trickle down wealth which suggested a bone dry desert as far as wealth was concerned unless you were a Reagan, a Bush, or a celebrity.

Wives of US politicians formed a committee to censor rock and rap music launching the warning sticker war on youth culture. Ideologies clashed as sung by political crooner Billy Bragg. Meanwhile, another Sagittarius musician, Tom Waits wooed fans with his exaggerated sandpaper and whiskey voice. Seattle's grunge music gained traction and world-renowned giving Seattle a new identity that went beyond airplanes, the Space Needle, and computer software.

Religious right people threatened the civil and religious rights, not to mention reproduction rights. Their voices grew strident and Canadian author Margaret Atwood wrote the creepy Handmaid's Tale in response to US conservatism. But it wasn't any better in Margaret Thatcher's England or any number of countries led by "fascist" regimes (this included Latin American countries).

*Capricorn (1988 to 1995 with overlaps in 1996)

The most important year and transit as far as I'm concerned are Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune in conjunction that occurred in 1989. People born during this time or even from 1988 until 1991 came to this planet with the soul blueprint of leadership. But these folks lead from the bottom up instead of the top down. They are deeply concerned about economic injustice, the environment, and corruption in high and low places. I call this group the Master Rebuilders and they represent every industry. They are either beginning or completing their Saturn Returns so watch out. A good example is the US Congress Woman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Other than that, with dotcoms rising and falling; a wave of entrepreneurs in various industries and endeavors started do-it-yourself movements. This was the era of homemade zines, chapbooks, independent record labels operated out of basements and garages. This was the time when people ran up their Visa cards to make the next independent movie to go viral. By the end of this time period, more people possessed personal computers, cell phones, and their first dial-up account to send e-mail to people across the world.

This era also brought us marketing labels for those folks born in the 1960s such as "Generation X" and "slackers". Seattle musician Sara DeBell released an album called Grunge Light (1993) which as it turned out was a fabulously crafted recording. We also saw the rise of independent cinema as well as, smaller film festivals such as Sundance Film Festival gaining notoriety.

Aquarius (1996 to 2003)

Uranus moved back home in its own sign of Aquarius. If you were expecting iconic events and people, they came in droves. In 1999 alone as we prepared for the new millennium, people from around the world flocked to Seattle at attending the anti-WTO rallies (turned into a fiasco with multiple arrests, teargas, clay bullets, and anarchists damaging businesses). Then as 1999 came to a close, the world held its breath as we waited to see if the world's technology would end because of the K2 scare.

Also in Seattle, it wasn't uncommon to see new wealth from Microsoft engineers and owners of software companies in the form of Jaguars and other designer cars parked on Broadway and around the overpriced city. Music also took on a high-tech approach sounding more like video game prompts than actual melodies. But at least world music festivals such as WOMAD in various locations reminded us of musical traditions and got us dancing.

The talk revolved around solar power (Leo) and wind turbines (Aquarius). Green architecture turned into buzzwords and permaculture caught people's attention as did the Volunteer Simplicity movement. Grassroots groups grew in number and I found myself joining conversational groups in cafes. Documentary filmmaking attracted numbers of filmmakers wanting to send a message out to the world on various causes.

However, the most shocking event when Uranus transited in Aquarius happened on September 11, 2001, with the bombing of the Twin Towers (World Trade Center) and the attacks on the US Pentagon. This event ushered a time of terror and fear that caused people to also spend less money and to become suspicious of the government (and all its new anti-terrorism laws). Pluto transited in Sagittarius at this time which caused us to fear other ethnicities but also to fear our loss of freedom.

During this time, we saw the increase of people receiving and giving energy healings from acupuncture to cranial sacral treatments, to reiki healings. We delved deeper into quantum physics and eventually, learned that everything has consciousness including water crystals (but this would come when Uranus transited in Pisces). Shamanism also made a comeback as did working with totem animals.

Pisces (2003-2010, overlaps with Aries in 2010)

When Uranus moved into Pisces we experienced the dissolution of institutions (banks, Wall Street), old beliefs, for some people, homes. By 2008, the housing bubble popped when Pluto transited from the overinflated Sagittarius energy to the conservative Capricorn. Banks failed. Wall Street crashed and the Bush Administration in the US bailed out the culprits alerting the American people to the hard times to come.

Big box stores closed like in a game of dominoes--one after the other, leaving its workers in a bind. People lived in cars, in shelters, on the couches of relatives and friends. People's credit was destroyed and homes all across the US, but especially in Florida went into foreclosure. The economy tanked (I lost my contract job too).

Meanwhile, we found our solace in music, yoga, and dance. We exchanged and bartered for energy and natural healing for our stressed-out bodies. We read books about the healing power of music. Sound healing and music therapy drew in students, and musicians learned about the consciousness of their music too. We were still placing our health in Mozart's hands (and had been doing so since 1997). We also saw musical styles and traditions wed creating new genres.

With the popularity of Harry Potter novels and other YA series, more authors were writing YA novels and creating cash cows. Do-it-Yourself publishing attracted many new authors or early adopters of blogging, published books based on their blogs. People were likely to get lost in thrillers, fantasies, and romance. Uranus in Pisces welcomed the escape artist in all of us.

Sadly, this was also the era of the motto, "You create your own reality" which instead of radiating compassion for others, distanced confused people who had only known a life of victimhood and post-trauma. Abraham Hicks and other New Thought teachers along with kirtans sung in Sanscrit were best-sellers.

Let's not forget about the power of Gaia that unleashed in hurricanes that brought down cities such as New Orleans and Hurricane Katrina. Then we entered an era of superstorms and people announcing that Climate Change is a reality and one that found its way to their doorsteps.

At least in the US, we moved away from the ultraconservative Bush Era to the refreshing Obama Era and the motto, "Yes, we can." But sadly, that would all be torn down in a few short years caused by a rigged election (2016).

  Aries (2010/11-2018/19)

Fresh in our minds, we recall Uranus in Aries bringing out our feisty side. We learned about the price of entitlement when we learned everything under the sun about the narcissistic personality. We delved into our shadow work by trying to play nice in the sandbox of our soul. But in the outer world, we fought for justice by joining with likeminded people who envisioned a communal lifestyle based on cooperation and sharing instead of the competitive model.

Arab Spring, the Occupy Movement, Transition Town, the rise in popularity of tiny homes, and the spotlight on the millennials found their sparks in Uranus in Aries. Sometimes, we practiced diplomacy as we worked for justice. Other times, we brought out the battering ram. Youth protested against gun violence in schools. The youth ran for political leadership positions and won. Our heroes were youngsters who answered calls to quests.

We placed less focus on the grandparent figures (Baby Boomers) and aimed our lens on youth (Millennials). We were done talking and poised to act. Meanwhile, veganism increased because of vegan influencers using social media and documentary films as their platforms. We saw a different type of activism that happened behind the scenes instead of in the streets. Yet, we still marched. And we still rallied.

Spiritually, people began turning away from the Law of Attraction and turning to healing shadows in their subconscious minds. They turned away from fortune tellers and chose to become the captain of their own ascension ships. After experiencing wake-up calls, many gifted spiritualists (and some fraud gurus) launched YouTube channels and became spiritual influencers. Oracle cards seemed more popular than Tarot cards. And Blog Talk Radio and similar stations offered new platforms for interviewing spiritual teachers and healers.

We learned about solar flares, the Schumann Resonance, channeling angels, and we also learned the lessons of discernment when it came to globbing onto popular spiritual teachers (who either started a cult or switched religions leaving their followers thrashing in the deep spiritual waters).

And despite all that, we're still standing even though, along the way, we lost many of our great musical icons including David Bowie, Prince, Maurice White (Earth, Wind, and Fire), and Aretha Franklin, just to name a few.

One of the most interesting breakthroughs of this era besides research in neuroscience was crowdfunding to pay medical bills, launch YouTube channels, launch businesses, pay to rescue animals, etc...An interest in intentional communities resurfaced too along with homesteading. And let's not forget the growing urban farming trends.

Taurus (2018/19 to 2026)

And now, here we are with Uranus transiting once again in Taurus. It's too early to tell what will happen with this wild card planet. But we do know that Uranus in Taurus will have an impact on financial institutions, religious institutions, big agriculture, government, money markets, cattle, and it's going to toss out traditions.

We have already witness crazy weather patterns, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, and fires that has us showing greater respect to Gaia. This will continue and hopefully, we learned from our farming mistakes from the 1930s, and we don't end up with another Dust Bowl. We simply can't afford it with our current earth population.

We will hear our hearts talking to us? Uranus in Taurus won't be an easy transit because Uranus promises to transform our values. But I wonder, how many of us will survive the Earth change and still be standing in 2026?
