Forgiveness is not and has never been about letting others off the hook. Forgiveness shows us that humans are frail in some regards and egos are strong. When we refuse to practice forgiveness we actually hang onto baggage that weighs us down. It doesn't just weigh down the individual who refused to let go of the baggage, it weighs heavy on the planet. Revenge and vengeful thoughts come from wounded egos. It is the ego's way of seeking validation and it leaves a person feeling helpless, powerless and hopeless. Bitter people are not attractive in any way, shape, or form. Forgiveness brings light into a situation and healing begins for all concerned. This is the lesson of the Pisces Lunar Eclipse that falls on September 16, 2016.
When individuals, communities, nations, and ethnic groups begin the process of forgiveness, we allow more light and love to enter through the cracks. By healing our hearts we create pure magnetic fields. According to Gregg Braden who is versed in both science and metaphysics, the heart has a magnetic field 10 times or is it 100 times stronger than the brain. And the brain has a powerful magnetic field in itself. Our feelings matter to the entire planet. We are all connected, which is another lesson of Pisces. When we fail to forgive others, we also fail to forgive ourselves. Do onto others as you wish them to do to you falls under Pisces' gaze. Turning the other cheek is also Piscean in nature.
This is not to say that we condone violence or evil to happen in the world. But it is to say that perhaps evil is wounds in disguise. I rallied against narcissists in recent years until I learned the painful process or events that leads a person to adopt that personality disorder. Empaths tend to attract narcissists because they have yet to learn that co-dependence serves no one. It's a song and dance that we can offer to God or the angels for healing. That too is Piscean. So let's look at the actual Pisces Lunar Eclipse chart. Narcissists are wounded and if we call ourselves healers, then let's hold a healing space while also setting appropriate boundaries.
First thing we notice is a lot of red lines which represent multiple T-Crosses. Then we notice a Triple Conjunction that involves the Pisces Full Moon, Neptune and Chiron (wounds and forgiveness) opposing another Conjunction with the Sun and North Node in Virgo. This includes The Sun, Mercury (ruled by Virgo and Gemini) and Jupiter at one degree Libra (out of sign conjunction). Mars and Saturn act as the apexes. Again, we're seeing clashes of idealism or delusions with religion or spiritual practices. We are putting our spiritual practices to the test to see if they hold water or air. We might even feel like we're suffocating under these transits.
If that's not enough to deal with, Venus in Libra pulls Pluto and Uranus into a Cardinal T-Cross. So not only are we fighting about ideologies, we're adding fire to revolutions. Venus brings in the social justice key and asks us to come up with peaceful solutions. However, Pluto wants to control everything in our environment in a Plutocrat fashion. Uranus is madder than Hades and isn't going to take injustice any longer. This reminds me of the two approaches to Civil Rights or race rights as portrayed by Martin Luther King, Jr. and Malcolm X. Violence is not the answer, neither is revenge. Forgiveness is the answer, but we're so emotional that we can't see through the chaos. And yet, forgiveness brings the answers we seek (Neptune, Chiron and Moon in Pisces).
Pluto acts as the apex for the Cardinal T-Cross. Pluto in this case represents transformation. But in order to transform and shift consciousness on the planet, we must find balance. Venus is saying give peace a chance and Uranus is sounding a battle cry. And are we mature enough in our humanity to take the higher road. Can we "Imagine" as John Lennon sang a better world?
The apexes for the multiple Mutable T-Crosses are Mars and Saturn both in Sagittarius. We might need to bring in the big lawyers, deal with international relationships and take a more expansive view. Mars brings us drive to move forward while Saturn asks us to take a more cautious approach. Fundamentalism rears its ugly head but then we need to search within to see how we add fuel to this fire.
Are we provoking fear in others that would cause them to explode? I have seen a lot of hatred flying around today from wounded people from diverse groups and situations. It's self-righteous anger by people who don't feel heard or validated. No surprise since narcissism runs amok this day and age. And again, narcissists are deeply wounded people who seek validation outside themselves because they have a thin sense of self or they hate themselves.
So there you have it, my interpretation of the Pisces Lunar Eclipse. Some of you aren't going to agree with it and that's fine. But I will say it's time to get out of denial and reclaim our Divine inheritance which doesn't have anything to do with thinking small or not joining the bigger picture which is Unity Consciousness. Only our small wounded egos prevent us from joining that party.

August 29 brings huge changes to the planet, ready or not. On this day Mercury goes retrograde in Virgo and Saturn now moving direct forms an exact square with Neptune. This exact square begins separation on September 21st around the Equinox. What this signifies is a time of chaos and confusion.
Oh, here comes another planetary Dark Night of the Soul...
Tempers run high as ideologies clash with each other, especially since Mars in Sagittarius conjuncts with Saturn, further adding fuel to the Saturn-Neptune Square (10 to 13 degrees). Then if that’s not enough, a SolarEclipse in Virgo (climax of the season of Mutables) launches September. Lazy summer days end and many of us will be practicing a duck and cover exercise.
So all the areas of our lives both individually and globally that we have pushed aside because we engaged with distractions, will stare us down. It’s time to deal with those breakups, divorces, as well as, strife in the political and religious realms. All that noise playing in the background grows deafening. And we are asked to dig deep inside us to forgive and practice compassion. Remember it is easy to practice forgiveness when life goes smoothly and the act is relegated to religious doctrine and not real life experiences. Now real life experiences test our ability to forgive and practice compassion.
And these transits will shatter some hearts and mend others by the end of 2016. I’m not looking forward to these transits anymore than you are. The Saturn-Neptune Square alone is a real bugaboo. It causes religious fundamentalists to blow others up and it causes rifts in families because people choose differing political candidates. We're already witnessed this. And it grows into a spectacle that has some of us shaking our heads and saying, "Well, that's just how it is." Really? What about us becoming more mindful of our role in the bigger picture as the planet shifts into a new age? Mindfulness isn't just a trendy word to bounce around, it is a practice.
I already wrote a post on the Virgo Solar Eclipse for 2016 and I recommend that you read it carefully. Mercury retrograde in Virgo is problematic because Virgo is a communication sign along with Gemini. It is a ruler of technology and food digestion. It represents details, solving problems, and can cause us to become overly critical and ruthlessly judgmental. At its worst, Mercury RX in Virgo is just plain nasty and most of the judgment comes around purity of others and that I know what’s best for you attitude like a mother on steroids. I'm probably falling into this trap with this particular post due to my frustration of this slow global awakening--business as usual mentality that surrounds me.
When Mercury is RX in Virgo we miss important details. We forget to record our expense in the register then bounce checks. We forget to pay bills. We forget to file taxes. We forget to take care of our health which is important when stress levels rise, as they will with the exact Saturn-Neptune Square combined with Mercury RX and a Virgo Solar Eclipse. In fact, the emphasis is on Virgo in late August and September even with Jupiter moving into Libra mid-September. So I recommend reading the post on Virgo Sun and energy too.
This will help us get a grasp of what is expected of us during these transits. Virgo is not through with us yet. The Universe sees each of us under the guise of an improvement project. So what needs changes in your life? What do you need to return to and clean up? Give it some thought and then act, but don’t re-act since we don’t want to keep repeating the same mistakes.
Now, let’s look at the Mars conjunction with Saturn in Sagittarius which plays mostly in the background. This transit is exact August 21 to the 24. This brings out the idealists hotheads. Everyone thinks they are right and everyone else is wrong. People will bash their beliefs over the heads of others and violence erupts in many cases. This plays out in our own lives then ripples out or is reflected in outer events we see in the news—the more extreme violence.
But since we’re all connected, we pumped gasoline into those disturbing and traumatic scenarios. Mars and Saturn won’t let us off the hook. We’re all players in this grand tapestry of madness. Again, Neptune in Pisces asks us to practice forgiveness starting with ourselves. Now is the time to lean on religious or spiritual teachings—do onto others as you would do onto yourself. And God hopes you love and respect yourself or you won’t be able to love others. I know, it’s a catch-22, isn’t it? Collectively we can work on healing the belief, "I am not safe." This will go a long way in curbing violence at every level.
Now, we just need to get past the Fall Equinox before we enjoy calm waters again. And that’s going to feel like a long stretch, sorry to say. Saturn separates from Neptune beginning on the 21st. The Sun moves into Libra on the 22nd. Jupiter moved into Libra on September 9. Mercury goes direct on the 22, again around the time of the Equinox.
And then Mars transits into Capricorn on September 28 where the planet is exalted. I also want to mention that Pluto goes direct on September 26 so we will feel that as a bump at the end of the month. This too brings up unfinished business to address.
So how do we get through all this? Attend as little social events as possible. Meditate. Join a spiritual group on or off-line and make sure that it’s not based on ideologies. Join a forgiveness group or take non-violent communication workshops. Stay away from the media (it provides confusing and contradictory news that confuses everyone), stay clear of conspiracy theorists since they’ll run amok, and listen to uplifting music.
Now is a good time to take care of your brain. Take some quiet time to color or do puzzles. Play a musical instrument or go back to learning a language you studied in the past. Take this time to go backwards and get caught up. This involves completing old tasks, balancing the books, and getting caught up on important (not trivial correspondence). Don’t sign any contracts (wait until October).
Sign up for a reading. Delivery time will be slower because of the Mercury RX and transits that impact my Natal Chart. I'll take a longer time fact-checking and paying attention to details.

Perhaps that sounds overly dramatic. If the Mars in Scorpio transit and Saturn-Neptune Square pulling in Virgo planets into a T-Cross doesn't wake us up, what will? And the writing is on the wall. The media and political situations in the world provide us with so much fright that we forget about love, kindness, compassion, and forgiveness (Neptune in Pisces). We fear the other more so now than in previous decades and powerful transit passages. And what a way to end the season as we approach the fall/spring Equinox.
First let's look at the Stellium (planet cluster) with the sun, moon, North Node, Jupiter and Mercury because that's a lot of planets in Virgo, including our two communication planets, Jupiter and Mercury. Jupiter rules the 9th House of long-distance travel, the higher mind or higher education, academics, professors, religion and cultures. It's the house of global or long-distance travel and long-distance communication. It also rules xenophobia and idealism.
Mercury rules the 3rd house of short-distance communication, short-distance travel, education K - 12, learning and thinking styles. Mercury is retrograde during this Solar Eclipse which adds more confusion to the thick stew of chaos.
The North Node represents fate and it's where we are heading and it's in Virgo. Virgo rules service, daily routine, our health, disseminating information and disseminating food (small intestine), scrutinizing, fixing, and the higher good, along with Pisces.
So the moon and the sun are now flavored by the North Node, Jupiter, and Mercury. That means the moon carries Jupiter and Mercury energy. We want to communicate and we want to expand beyond idealism only we can't because this Stellium is locked into a T-Square with Saturn/Mars (apex) in Sagittarius (not exactly helping us heal our fear of the other) and Neptune in Pisces (wants to take the higher road, forgive and move on). The outlet is Gemini which is the ruler of Mercury which is retrograde. And usually the things that Gemini rules such as the media has only added fuel to the fire. So what can Gemini energy bring us in this situation?
Perhaps dealing with next door neighbors holds more weight now than dealing with bordering or far-off countries. Perhaps practicing mindfulness is more important than practicing any major religion. Gemini handles the details. I also wonder where Donald Trump fits into all of this since his sun is ruled by Gemini. Well, really, I don't want to go there. Oddly, if Bernie Sanders was still in the race that Virgo Stellium would have boosted his power. Can you play the wild card, Bernie?
Next we have that troublesome Mars joining Saturn in Sagittarius. On one hand, Mars brings energy to Saturn which could combine maturing and caution with action. But on the other hand, this could also represent a police state mentality since Mars rules police and Saturn rules the state or authority. It's hard to know what this Virgo Solar Eclipse will set off and our response to it. I'm hoping this is about us bring elders together with youth in a campaign to bring peace and healing to the planet. Some of you are shaking your heads saying, "That's never going to happen." Well, but it could. The Millennials are poised to bring healing to the world and this eclipse could launch that.
Although the Uranus Pluto Square is wide it's still active because when Venus transit to around 23 degrees Libra this planet will enact the Uranus-Pluto Square. So look for more grassroots coming up against authority. This could also take place in families as children one-up their parents or grandparents. But Pluto also acts as a benefactor since this planet trines the Virgo Stellium and sextiles Neptune in Pisces. Pluto asks us to transform and shift energy. And we're getting that message throughout this reading. By the time we experience the Pisces Lunar Eclipse on September 16, Venus represents the Divine Feminine rising like the sun on the horizon. It's the figure of Venus or Aphrodite rising out of the sea and the gods looking on. Oh, we're going to notice.
So what this chart reveals to me is the Divine Feminine testing the waters. But she won't test the waters long before she releases some Kali-like energy. You want to play hardball guys? You want to support the patriarchs and the old way of doing business? We could see this playing out as women as victims or that survivor mentality. Or we could just see the shift happening with most of us walking away from the old story because we find it unjust and unsupportable.
I also find the Uranus trine with Mars/Saturn troublesome. Uranus of course wants to bring revolution and a trine to Mars and Saturn would normally be the ideal path to accomplish this goal. But Saturn is uncomfortable in Sagittarius and Mars isn't the best bedfellow for Saturn. Again, this could represent youth aligning with authority kind of like what we saw with the Millennials in the US supporting Bernie Sanders for US President. But Uranus brings surprises and we might not enjoy the surprises even if they help awaken our consciousness. Oh, what a mess! Yet, I think the planets know exactly what they're doing.
I'm not doing a breakdown of signs this month but I will say that the Mutable Signs experience the brunt of this grand change. Be strong. Lean on the Fixed Signs for support and don't let the heat from the Cardinals burn you. Take a deep breath. We will get to the other side. Align with love and then picture Heaven on Earth.
