Taurus--The Belle and Beaux of the Forest

Image
What do Fred Astaire, Audrey Hepburn, and Stevie Wonder have in common? They all share the same Taurus Sun Sign. And yes, they all worked or work in the entertainment business. We can spot a Taurus person by their big doe-eyes, slower tempo in their decisions and movement, and their ability to get each of us to ground back in our bodies. Taurus Ruling Planet Venus Colors Pink, Green, and Earth Tones Fixed  Earth Rules the Throat (and Throat Chakra) and neck (shoulders?) You find many Tauruses in the dance world as you also find them published in literary journals or you hear their voices gracing favorite compact disks. Taurus is a Fixed Earth Sign and similar to the other two Earth Signs (Virgo and Capricorn), Taurus people have strong bodies. If they don't work in the arts, you can find these folks making practical pottery, running businesses, or working in gardening, landscaping or on farms. They enjoy growing things. They enjoy spending time among animals and

Taurus New Moon--Exalted and Relaxed

Image
When the Taurus New Moon comes along, it's time to manifest our desires. This is the best moon for setting intentions and using visualization practices. We get in touch with our senses and the Taurus energy helps us stay grounded in our bodies. Remember that in order to manifest dreams into concrete reality we must be grounded in our bodies. Taurus represents dense energy because it is an Earth and a Fixed sign. Yes, this energy moves at a slow tempo and it allows us to contemplate and drink in everything life has to offer. Last year, the Taurus New Moon appeared in a troublesome moon chart. I decided not to set any intentions during the cycle between the 2016 Taurus New Moon and the Scorpio Full Moon. This year, we have a better moon chart, even though as in every chart, it brings us challenges too.  Let's look at the Cardinal T-Cross which poses some challenges. Again, we have the three players, Jupiter in Libra opposing Uranus in Aries and both squaring Pluto in Capric

March 20, 2017 Equinox Chart--A Whole Lot of Changes Going On

Image
Here is the Equinox chart set for 3:29 a.m., Seattle, Washington USA on March 20, 2017. As you can see, the chart contains a whopping Cardinal T-Cross with a cluster of planets in Aries (sun, Mercury, Venus, and Uranus) going to heads with Pluto in Capricorn and Jupiter in Libra. Also, notice that the moon is transiting in a fellow Fire Sign, Sagittarius with an exact conjunction to Saturn in the Galactic Center.  Meanwhile, Mars is transiting in stable Taurus. Could it be that we require a lot of patience now? As always, sign up for a personal reading. Try an Equinox reading which includes transits around the Equinox. Aries receive a $10.00 discount on a Solar Return reading. Also, join Astrologer Patricia on YouTube and Facebook. If you are on a budget, try getting a 5 minute channeled session on Fiverr . I also give card readings starting at $40. Find out what your challenges and opportunities are for the next quarter.

Aries New Moon for March 27, 2017--New Beginnings & Breakthroughs

Image
photo by Patricia Herlevi An Aries New Moon represents true Spring to me (unless you live in the Southern Hemisphere). It's no wonder that here in the north, we see so many baby animals and children rollicking outdoors around the time the Sun and Moon connect in Aries. But new beginnings come in many forms and on many fronts, as we'll notice with the Aries New Moon on March 27, 2017. With this Aries New Moon, we experience tension when Jupiter at 19 degrees Libra goes to battle with Pluto at 19 degrees Capricorn. Mercury catches up and conjuncts Uranus in Aries. So we have a semi-tight Cardinal T-Cross with Pluto providing the apex and Cancer providing the outlet. This means that our new beginnings start off with a bang. And if we choose to give our power away, this could result in experiencing violence or aggression or bullying from others. We must practice self-care while we heal any mother (or father) issues during March and going into April. Once we heal those chil

Sun Transits in Aries (March 20, 2017)--All Reved Up

Image
You know when the Sun approaches Aries. You know because you see red everywhere--from red cars to the red clothing people wear. Even stop signs take on greater significance even if no one is going to stop for the proverbial red light. Aries leads off the Zodiac. And this Ram pushes his way into spring (fall if you're in the Southern Hemisphere). Aries represents The Fool (Tarot), children, the places in our lives where we are still naive and it represents cars, sports, competition, and taking risks. Aries is a Fire Sign (the first in the Zodiac) and it is a pushy Cardinal Sign so Aries becomes the fire starter blazing his or her way into the future. Aries takes his cues from the planet Mars and chooses red as his color. When the Sun is in Aries life intensifies. We all want to venture forth and pioneer a project or relationship. We feel chivalrous, even if we're female. And the house in your chart with Aries on the cusps is where you take bold action. This is the place wh

Libra Full Moon for April 10, 2017---She has Risen!

Image
I knew at the start of 2017 that this year would launch the Divine Feminine in a powerful way. I knew when I marched with women in January that women were going to roar. And this energy continues to build. The Libra Full Moon on April 10, 2017 brings justice to women around the globe. Again, we have that powerful T-Cross with Pluto, Uranus, and Jupiter playing out. Oh, but there's much more going on here. So much more.  When I talk about the Divine Feminine, this includes the Divine Masculine too. And it includes integration of our inner children and Higher Souls. With Saturn still in the Galactic Center squaring Chiron and Venus RX in Pisces we are healing those inner children. We are challenged to forgive the past and see the wounding in others so that we forgive and set ourselves free. And when we forgive that we cannot change (Chiron) we flood ourselves with light from the GC. We expand our consciousness with the Pisces and Sagittarius energies swirling in the cosmos. And

Saturn Retrograde--Planetary Traffic Jam in April 2017

Image
photo by Patricia Herlevi, Seattle 2008 Even though April is still a few weeks away, I thought I would post on Saturn Retrograde. And to give you some framework, Venus is still RX at the beginning of April. Mercury goes RX on the 9th and Pluto goes RX on April 20th. Jupiter stays in retrograde motion until June 9th. With so many planets in backward motion, April is not the month to launch anything new--a relationship or a business. However, for the sake of this article, I'm focusing on Saturn RX. All the planets except Venus and Mars go retrograde every year. And we use the retrograde periods to refocus on our priorities. We use this timeout to reassess, reinvent, and to catch up on any energies that have gotten too far ahead of us. We also use this time to rest our bodies since planets such as Mars, Pluto, and Saturn when moving direct can take a toll on our bodies. Saturn affects our bodies because this planet rules structure, including physical bodies, diet and other routi

Virgo Full Moon for March 12, 2017---Momentum Keeps Building

Image
I doubt that it's a coincidence that the Leo Lunar Eclipse was at 22 degrees, followed by the Virgo Full Moon at 22 degrees on March 12. The Universe in its wisdom is using master numbers 22 and 11 as symbols on a synchronistic path. And as this synchronicity speeds up, so does our global awakening. Can you feel it? The other message the wise Universe sends us is a Cardinal T-Cross with Jupiter, Uranus, and Pluto. And then the Universe tosses in a Mutable T-Cross with the Virgo Moon opposing a Pisces Stellium (Sun, Neptune, Pallas, Chiron, and Mercury) and squaring Saturn in Sagittarius. Venus is at 11 degrees Aries and Uranus is at 22 Aries. Again, we see master numbers that usher in a new age or a global awakening. Venus asks us what we value and if we will step through the doors that represent our values? (Also look for 33, 44, and 55 minutes after the degrees). Venus in Aries asks us if freedom is worth fighting for? She values justice, harmony, diplomacy and if she doe
