Pluto-Uranus Square--Turning Our Backs on Our Past

Since Neptune is a big player in my Natal Chart, I like to refer to cinema or photographs or music to give analogies of the types of energies presented to us by the planets.  When I think of the Pluto-Uranus Square in the Cardinal Signs, I recall clips from the movie Brother Sun, Sister Moon which chronicles the early years of Saint Francis of Assisi and Saint Claire.

In the first clip, we see the young Francis turning his back on his family, community, and everything he ever knew to take up the cross.  He literally walked naked into the world and into the realm of contemplation eventually leading him to become a friar and then the founder of the Franciscan Order of Minor Friars.  While I wouldn't ask anyone to walk naked into the world and leave everything behind, if you are experiencing the Pluto-Uranus Square, you will need to leave a lot behind because you are transcending into a new way of being.  So use the courageous Francis as an example.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Libra saint was experiencing Uranus and Pluto transits at the time of his conversion--makes sense, right?

Uranus in Aries is about speaking our truth, but we must do this from the heart.  Here is the Pope scene from the same movie.
