If you would like to see the video version of this topic, visit Astrology with Sass on Locals.com Otherwise, I noticed certain themes coming up with Mars in Gemini such as mindfulness, the power of words, affirmations, synchronicity, and masterful manifestation techniques.

Similar to any transit, it's best to work with the energies and themes presented rather than to work against them. You don't want to ignore any long transit of a personal planet. Mars usually stays two months in a Zodiac Sign, but in this case, Mars spends eight months in Gemini. That's three-quarters of a year even though the transit overlaps with 2023.

While it's not usual for Mars to retrograde and stay in a single Zodiac Sign for several months, this particular transit comes at a time of great poverty and helplessness. And it reminds each of us that we have the power to manifest our desires if we place our focus on what we want instead of on what we don't want. This is not simplistic Law of Attraction practice. Let's break it down.

Mars is a planet of action ruled by the Cardinal Zodiac Sign Aries. This is a fiery planet known for igniting anger, passion, outrage, and our sexual nature. It's also a planet of guns, cars, masculinity, hunting, warriors, the police, firemen, race car drivers, knives, and I put explosives under Mars even though it probably suits Uranus better.

On the positive side, Mars also represents courage, motivation, drive, passion for a hobby or project, pioneering something new, boys, men, the physical brain and the face. It could even be about saving face as with some cultures.

Gemini is the co-ruler of the messenger planet, Mercury. This is the sign of languages, words, the power of words, meditation as in mindfulness meditation, could fit in with mental health counseling and coaching and fits into the communications field (including videos and podcasts). It's the sign of dualism, writing, writers, city planners, neighborhoods, cousins and the twins.

On the flip side, Gemini also represents trickery, lies, deceit, restlessness, nervousness, mental health conditions, and a misuse of words.

When we put Gemini together with Mars we get passionate communication. We might also end up listening to too many angry soapbox rants. People want to debate an issue but they might not listen to the other side of the debate or use the other person's words against them. Twisted logic could happen with the weaker side of Mars being immaturity and petulance.

The positive side of Mars in Gemini is mindfulness. It is about using affirmations and even visualization or imagination with powerful words. Saint Germaine and the I-Am Presence comes up with Mars in Gemini too. And you might find during this time that we are encouraged to heal out thoughts so that we don't keep creating more of the same stuff we despise.

So, here is my To-Do List (to make the most out of this transit).

If you're starting late, don't worry. You still have until March 25, 2023.

1. Take Action

Stop talking about your dreams or what you'll do some day when you have the money. Take a small step towards your dreams. Use this energy to motivate yourself or to hire a motivational coach. Mars in Gemini offers opportunities for any type of communications project such as writing or completing a novel, memoir, or non-fiction book.

I've been using this transit to write articles for magazines and newspapers. And I'm writing a memoir.

2. Watch for  Synchronicity

From number sequences to repeated words, what is the Universe communicating with you now?

3. Watch Your Words

Are you saying positive or negative affirmations to yourself? That's right, while we want to use positive affirmations to change our life situations, we often use negative affirmations to derail our efforts. How does that work?

Anytime we use the words "I am" anything that follows that is an affirmation. Pay attention to how you misuse or use the power of words in your daily life. Then you'll see what has been created for you.

4. Words are Things Manifested

This one pairs with #3. If you enjoy your manifestations including beautiful objects you bring into your life then chances are you're using beautiful or peaceful words that are on the same vibration of those objects (or situations).

But if you tell yourself you're not deserving by the words you choose to use after the I Am statement, then you're manifesting unwanted objects or situations in your life. But as you become more mindful of your word choices you empower yourself and become a master manifestor.

5. Powerful Prayers

Since prayers are words spoken hopefully with spiritual power behind them, when Mars is in Gemini, your prayers are more likely to resonate. Plus, you'll enjoy saying them too. This is also a good time to work with decrees in invocations. I would add chants to this list even though that involves music. This is a good use of Pisces and Gemini.

6. Use Your Imagination

Mars in Gemini lends itself to Creative Visualization. Spend some time daydreaming and then focus your daydreams into setting intentions. You can also place power words on vision boards.

7. Take Workshops and Classes

Mars in Gemini offers the opportunity to learn new skills. Why not take a digital class? Or take a workshop at a community center or food coop.

8. Teach What You Know

If you're not a teacher with credentials but you're aching to share what you know with others, teach a workshop online or at a community center. Why not teach at a public library? That would satisfy Gemini's curiosity.

9. Write For Yourself or Others

Perhaps, you don't want to become a novelist but you still want to write. Write poems, short stories, articles, pitches, or if you don't want to share your writing, keep a private journal. Writing projects go well now, even for people who don't consider themselves pen-worthy.

10. Produce Videos and Podcasts

If you've been putting off launching your own channel because you have something to teach or share, what are you waiting for? Launch it before Mars leaves Gemini. Come on, get moving. Take action.
