The Astrology Of Canada's Unifying Movement

Originally, I was going to write a blog article about the charts of the current Prime Minister of Canada, Canada as a country, and I was going to bring in information from the Quiet Revolution in Quebec (1960s) and the attempt for Quebec to separate from Canada in the 1980s which was unsuccessful.

But what's happening now is not focused on separation or even dualism. The movement happening in Canada rising out of the working class (truck drivers and farmers) has the potential to unify and bring transparency for the provincial, city, and federal government bodies.

While mainstream media for the most part tells bold lies and exaggerates aggressive people who showed up at the protests but are not part of the convoy or peaceful protestors. What's truly happening on live cameras and on YouTube channels is remarkable to watch for anyone who can unglue their eyes from the lurid fake news on their television screens. I actually feel hopeful that the Canadian populace will pull off this overturn of their leadership.

Let's first look at the chart for Canada with current transits.

The 8th House represents power, power structure, and other people's resources. Pluto is in Taurus in the 8th House (the natural ruler of this house is Scorpio and Pluto is at home in this house but not in the sign of Taurus). The North Node and Uranus are traveling towards Pluto at 15 degrees Taurus. They are coming from opposite directions. Uranus is currently at 10 degrees gaining momentum in a forward direction. The North Node backtracks through a sign and is at 27 degrees Taurus.

Uranus represents the awakeners and the revolutionaries. The North Node represents fate and where Canada is heading. On May 22, Uranus will form an exact conjunction with Canada's Natal Pluto which is at 15 degrees and 45 minutes. This is right after the Sun transits into Gemini. And 11 days earlier, Jupiter moves out of the compassionate and forgiving (Unity Consciousness) Pisces into Aries (a warrior) where it will stay until the 29th of October. Jupiter expands what it touches for good or bad. Aries can also represent new beginnings for the country.

The North Node reaches 15 degrees and 45 minutes (Canada's Natal Pluto degree) on August 30. The Sun will be in Virgo, Jupiter in Aries, and four of the outer planets will be retrograde. This is a type of reassessment and analysis. It's a clean-up crew time and it won't be an easy passage. The Unity Consciousness of Jupiter in Pisces will have already waned and any planets transiting in Virgo (Mercury and the Sun) will become hypercritical. With the retrograde planets there is a gaze at past mistakes.

Currently, Jupiter in Pisces transits in the 5th House. Will artists, spiritual people, athletes, and musicians join the movement? What will they contribute as far as art for solidarity? Will they host fundraisers for the truckers and the farmers? Religious organizations will also give their support with this aspect.

Meanwhile, Neptune transits through the 6th House of service, health, and daily routines. These areas can feel clouded over and disorienting as it's hard to keep one's roots in the ground when they are living out of trucks and their daily routine has been unhinged as they are fighting mandates that are "health-related." The 6th House can represent the healing professions and healthcare so will healers lend their services to the protestors?

But what's grabbing my attention the most when I gaze at this transit chart for Canada are the progressed planets in a cluster in the 3rd House of communication. These planets are in Sagittarius and Scorpio which is an odd combination. The planets in Scorpio dig deeper for information and reveal secrets and scandals. The Sagittarius planets look forward towards a brighter future and infuse optimism in the Canadian people.

My Personal Synastry with Canada

The second chart I'm sharing is a synastry chart between me and Canada. For whatever reason, my destiny is intertwined with Canada. I'm sure I experienced past lives in Quebec and probably other regions as well. I also have met many gracious Canadians over the decades who hosted me in their homes (Vancouver and Ontario), who granted me interviews for their music and movies, and have generally shown me kindness.

The outer rim with the red symbol represents Canada's Natal planets. Canada and I share a Cancer Sun. I was born on June 29 and Canada celebrates its national birthday on July 1. That means my Sun and Canada's Sun are in a conjunction by synastry. We clearly identify with each other (even though I get harassed at immigrations at the US-Canada border).

Canada's Uranus/Moon/Sun also fall near the end of my 6th House and conjunct my Natal Mercury in my 7th House. This means I could have a Canadian life partner and I have friendships with Canadians who I meet either in my daily work environment (I write for Canadian publications and I have worked with astrology clients from Canada). I also meet many Canadians who are healers or somehow involved with healthcare or who have pets. These are all related to the 6th House. The Uranus for Canada signifies that Canada prefers the quirky side of me and otherwise would find me boring.

Canada's North Node (fate) and Mars (drive and passion but also danger) fall in my Natal 8th House. This could (if I'm not careful) draw violence to me if I were to act like an arrogant or power-hungry person. This could also represent car accidents so I must be careful with vehicles or driving in Canada. Canada's Mars also ignites the hidden power in my Natal Uranus and Pluto which could lead to empowerment and  spiritual awakening. For Canadians, they might act overly cautious around me when they first get to know me because of that Pluto energy. But the other side of that is Canada's Mars wears me out and I have trouble sleeping while I visit Canada, especially Vancouver which is ruled by Aries.

Canada's Saturn and Ceres fall on my 10th House of the public and career. It's funny because as far as food and agriculture go, despite the higher prices of food in Canada, I never go hungry because others feed me when I'm visiting the country. I do end up complaining about the high cost of food though and I see why Canadians head south across the border to buy their groceries.

In 1997 I was accepted to attend the Vancouver Film School but I was unable to come up with the funds to pay the tuition and housing cost to stay in Canada for nine months of schooling. But in 1986, I attended a university exchange program in Ontario for nearly four months. All this as a side note since schooling does not pertain to the 10th House. It pertains to the 9th House in the astrological chart.

There is more the synastry which I'm not going to get into because my shoulders are tight and I want to stop typing now. However, if you find this article interesting, please support this blog.
