Fiery Launch into Libra Season 2021

As I write this article, it is September 22, 2021 and the Equinox with Sun conjunct Mars launching us into the next season. While we launch the season with passion and possibly aggression, we hopefully, end with peace and mindfulness but only after a period of court battles leading to a final judgment.

Even though Mars and the Sun are in Libra the Aries Moon is in opposition. And Mercury at 24 degrees Libra is in an exact square with Pluto in Capricorn. Two T-Crosses appear in the Equinox chart in the Cardinal and Fixed signs. However, on the plus side, we also have a Grand Air Trine with Saturn in Aquarius, the North Node/Ceres in Gemini and the Sun and Mars in Libra.

So, let's break this chart down into hopefully, easy to understand language. After all, the Mercury is getting ready to turn retrograde which leads to miscommunication and embarrassing typos. My brain seems to misfire during a Mercury RX too.

Mars and the Sun are ruled by Fire signs (Leo and Aries) and the Moon is also transiting in Aries. That makes this an emotional time with the main emotions of passion and anger.

Now, I'm not someone who believes that anger is bad and that we should repress it and not express it. I'm reminded of a scene from the movie French Kiss when the Kate played by Meg Ryan tells Luc, played by Kevin Kline to stop repressing his anger to express it (a funny scene by the way in a hilarious movie).

We need positive outlets for our anger so that we don't act out in violence and aggression.. Anger means we need to make a change in our life and the proactive approach is the best way to go. This could be ending a relationship (Mercury in a square with Pluto representing death and endings). This could be anger over a job, a boss, or feeling enslaved. So, now what are you going to do about it? Or it could be admitting that we need anger management therapy or that our partner does. Anger also suggest that we need to take responsibility of ourselves and set boundaries (which I know isn't so easy to do especially during Libra Season).

Mars and the Sun in Libra want to end an old chapter and the Aries Moon wants new beginnings. We just came out of the Full Moon in Pisces and then the Sun and the Moon moved into the adjacent signs which are still in opposition except now the Moon is waning and not full. It doesn't matter because that polarity with the Aries Moon and the Libra Sun plus Chiron in Aries brings out the wounds and causes us to either repress or to express our anger. We all have anger for one reason or another. I'm reminded of the person who smiles and says that they're not angry and they hiss that under their breath. Do you know what I'm saying? Don't be that person.

The Cardinal T-Cross

This T-Cross includes Mercury in Libra, Pluto in Capricorn and the Aries Moon. I can't emphasize the painful Cardinal T-Crosses especially when the Moon and Pluto are entrenched in a battle that begins in our subconscious minds. Mercury in Libra is getting ready to turn retrograde and it's going to delve deeply into our subconscious mind and it will heighten our psychic abilities. We will read other people's secret intentions and motivations which can lead to heated arguments. Think of the owl on the Greek goddess Athena's shoulder. Athena is the goddess of peace and war--what a perfect archetype for this chart!

Double-check your facts and face problems head on by asking direct questions rather than making assumptions which is easy to do with Mercury in easy-going Libra and also turning retrograde a few days after the Equinox. Paranoia results from the sextile between Pluto and Neptune while tossing in that square between Mercury and Pluto. We can become irrational and overly emotional thinking that everyone is hiding something from us. And it doesn't help that Venus is transiting in Scorpio, the ruler of Pluto! Venus rules partnerships and Scorpio rules secrets, taboo topics, the unconscious mind, sexuality, death, rebirth, birth, and procreation as well as, taxes. What's more taboo that sex, death, and taxes? Venus also rules the legal system and legal documents. She represents judges and justice as well as, attorneys along with Jupiter and Sagittarius.

Put all of that together and Libra Season is a time of civil rights, activists and attorneys fighting for justice as well as, David versus Goliath scenarios. Fairness is the battle cry. And people also ask, "Who has control over my body?" We make tough decisions and let's not judge others for the decisions that they make under duress. With Pluto playing a role here we are looking at transformation, endings, and new beginnings on a path that is truer to our values. There is sacrifice involved one way or the other. Each person must choose what's fair and just for him or herself. This is about weighing the scales. And yes, we are dealing with science, technology, the legal system, an epidemic (Neptune sextile with Pluto) and making decisions based on our beliefs. It will be interesting to see what transpires in October.

Fixed T-Cross

The other troublesome configuration in this chart is the Fixed T-Cross with Venus in Scorpio, Uranus in Taurus (opposition) and Saturn in Aquarius. Uranus and Saturn have been in an on-going square which is wide at this point. However, because of the history of this square throughout this past year and with Venus in a tight opposition with Uranus we're going to feel this tension moving forward into Libra Season and beyond.

There is also a Plutonian feel here too because of Venus in Scorpio. Venus challenges Uranus in Taurus and then we bring in more Aquarius-Uranus energy with the Saturn square in Aquarius. I mentioned in my Equinox video on YouTube that this has a Kali feel to it or the Inner Bitch surfacing now. We set boundaries and we shout, "No, means no!" We also hear, "Don't mess with my kids!" Aquarius and Uranus rebel and Venus in Scorpio uncovers the truth. This brings up tension with easy-going Libra who just wants to smile and make everyone happy, but what is there to be happy about when we live in a divisive environment?

Values clash, but we also ascend over this battleground if we decide to shift our consciousness and become more mindful. I know for myself, I have experienced this shift already thanks to a transiting yod occurring with my Natal Sun and Natal Uranus. Then I'll experience a second yod with Natal Pluto and Natal Mercury when Saturn transits three more degrees in Aquarius later this year. (BTW, Pluto, Saturn and Jupiter go direct in October). A Yod is fateful and called The Finger of God. It slows down processes and even projects.

I am able to transcend old wounds that other people triggered for me on social media. Now, when I see people fighting I don't feel angry. I see a broader picture and I feel the presence of God or the Creator watching over me. The formerly frightened inner child has calmed down. And I can almost laugh at the foolishness of the battles people fight with each other because they can't see past their programming. They can't see that they are entangled in mass psychosis which is happening on both sides of the aisle.

Well, this Fixed T-Cross even though it has stubborn energy can actually help us move past limiting beliefs if we choose that route. This is because Uranus in Taurus is an awakener of our true values. And Saturn in Aquarius is helping us soar into the future if only we can get past resentment and vengeful thoughts provided by Venus in Scorpio. In fact, Venus is the sore spot here as she triggers the square with Saturn and Uranus which is about sovereignty and freedom to choose what we do or don't do with our bodies. And at the same time, we recognize that we are comprised of energy and maybe we realize we are only energy (Aquarius and Uranus). This is hard to articulate. You either reach this conclusion or you don't. (Yes, this includes the women's right to choose whether she procreates or not).

Grand Air Trine

By now, you're thinking we're doomed to an end times scenario but wait. The Grand Air trine also includes Saturn in Aquarius, the North Node and Ceres and Gemini in aspect with the Sun and Mars in Libra. This provides the outlet for the tension in both T-Crosses. This Air Trine brings us logic, clarity, and rational thinking. The North Node also marks where we're heading.

I also link the Gemini North Node which rules the lungs with the current epidemic which also involves the air and lungs. Not to scare anyone but if humanity does not awaken, the next epidemic when the North Node is in Taurus will represent digestion, the intestines, and food (animal food products). I see something similar to Mad Cow Disease if we don't clean up our act.

But back to the Air Trine. Ceres represents how we nurture ourselves and our children through food. And we get radical with the future of agriculture with Saturn in Aquarius and Uranus in Taurus, the sign of agriculture, farms, farm animals, and our values. I have mentioned it before and I already see it happening on a small scale and that is greenhouse farms. Most of this is due to climate changes and also not being able to transport foods long-distance for much longer. And of course, vertical farms in urban environments also expands into all the major cities of the world. Aquarius and Uranus also represents solar energy, alternative energy source with Uranus in Taurus representing geothermal energy which I am a proponent of. But on the scary side it also represents nuclear power plants especially with Pluto also in an Earth sign.

Mainly what I hope to see from this Grand Air Trine is rational thinking and justice served to the people through the court systems around the world. I would like to see the truth come out and for people to release themselves from programming that has enslaved them for centuries, not just our current times. Aquarius and Uranus ask us to think outside of the proverbial box and to blast off the lid and to crash through the glass ceilings. But on the downside we also see space travel by civilians paid with tax-payers money when that money could be better used to provide housing for the homeless and perhaps, even, the controversial universal basic income for all of the Earth's citizens, except I would exclude millionaires and billionaires who don't require this money. And many say that it is the billionaire class responsible for the inequities in the world.

Finally, Jupiter in Aquarius is also in this Air Trine. This planet expands what it touches while exaggerating circumstances. It tends to cause us to think big and even more on a cosmic level. It speaks of world travel and foreign nations as well as, the justice system but has more to do with attorneys and lawsuits than judges which falls under Libra. I'm anticipating enormous changes under these aspects because Cardinal energy initiates change such as the change of seasons both metaphorical and literal.

Conclusion

If you were thinking this is just a run-of-the-mill Equinox, think again. We have two T-Crosses and a Grand Air Trine as well as, a waning Moon in opposition with the Sun conjunct Mars.
