Gemini New Moon on June 3, 2019--It Comes in Handy

First, I must apologize for not posting the New and Full Moons for May 2019. I've been busy writing a novel and keeping up with my YouTube channel Astrologer Patricia. The YouTube channel is growing rapidly and so that's where I have placed my attention.

However, as we approach the Gemini Season, I felt guided to write a post on the Gemini New Moon which lands on June 3. But let's take a look at Gemini so that we have a greater understanding of this New Moon's energy.

Gemini is a Mutable Air Sign that rules the hands, arms, lungs, and the brain's functionality (the ways we think, learn, and communicate). The opposite sign for Gemini is the Fire Sign Sagittarius which represents a wider scope of Gemini. While Gemini handles the details, Sagittarius provides the bigger picture. Gemini stays in the neighborhood or community while Sagittarius travels the world. Gemini rules newspapers and magazines as well as, radio broadcast, but Sagittarius rules book publishing and so on. Gemini's ruling planet is Mercury which it shares with the Mutable Earth Sign, Virgo. And Pisces (Neptune) rounds off the Mutable Signs and represents the Water Element.

This year during the Gemini New Moon, Neptune is in its own sign Pisces and Jupiter are in its own sign Sagittarius so this creates a Mutable dynamic meaning the situations thrown at us now require that we remain flexible and adapt to new situations. Gemini people (Sun, Moon, Ascendant) grow bored quickly and easily. They possess monkey minds and during June they are asked to learn deep meditation to control their meandering minds. Sagittarius represents the racehorse who either loses the race because it lost her focus or stayed focus and crossed the finish line first.






I'm going to talk about Gemini and the energy I'm picking up from this New Moon instead of going into the transits and aspects in detail. I already produced a YouTube video on the Gemini New Moon which you can watch (Astrologer Patricia). Besides, going over the transits in detail is not fun for me and Gemini sings, "Girls just want to have fun," composed by Gemini Sun Cyndi Lauper.

In fact, Gemini has us playing with words whether that means tackling the New York Times crossword puzzle or writing a sonnet. Some people will use this Gemini energy to talk, rant, lecture, gossip, or judge others. Others will talk out both sides of their mouths (like a Gemini landlady I once had to endure). Others will join a community radio station, start an interview blog, publish a magazine article, or write a book.

Gemini also rules the arms and hands so we focus on diseases that harm the hands and arms or we engage in activities that keep the hands limber and flexible. Tennis comes up as does chess. I also see people learning handicrafts or carpentry. It might even be a good time to fix problems around the house because we have tons of energy and we feel like solving problems.

Short distance and long distance travel go well as long as there is an educational element attached to it. Gemini loves learning something new. Gemini people are curious. They enjoy research and they enjoy reading. They might research the brain and neurology since this fits into Gemini and Mercury, Gemini's ruling planet.

The types of intentions to set with the Gemini New Moon revolve around learning, communication, craftsmanship, short distance travel, community planning, and healing the lungs. Also, intend to enjoy life more.

Air (Aquarius, Gemini, Libra)

While you enjoy delving into new subjects, take some time to clear your mind or you will experience overload. Now, is a good time to train the monkey mind or at least teach it obedience. If you work as a spiritual channel or intuitive it's time to train the mind to only hear the highest and best messages coming through instead of the dark thoughts of the ego.

Other than that, road trips go well as does visit to siblings and cousins. Returning to an old neighborhood brings healing insights. Also, do something fun this summer and read a novel in a different genre than you normally would or join a book group. If books aren't your things then check out a travel documentary from the library.

Fire (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius)

The song lyrics, "Come on baby, light my fire..." popped into my head when I thought of the Fire Sign energies for the Gemini New Moon. Have you been suffering from the doldrums? Don't allow your passions to fizzle out like a campfire doused with water. You might need to stoke the flames of a new passion whether that involves traveling to a far-off land, learning a new language, or dating someone from a different culture.

It's time to dig out your bucket list and start checking off items. Go on an adventure. Write a novel. Appear on stage under the spotlight. Learn to play a musical instrument. If you already know how to play an instrument, join a band. And take a leap of faith.

Water (Pisces, Cancer, Scorpio)

Count your blessings, Water Signs. The universe has gifted you with some of the best astrological transits you have experienced in a long time. Neptune is in a Water Sign, the North Node is in a Water Sign, Uranus, Saturn, and Pluto as well as, the South Node is in Earth Signs. Use this energy to heal your body and to balance your emotions. Use this energy to balance your banking accounts, pay off debts, and dream bigger.

Take advantage of the flowing aspects to get you in the right place and the right time. The only other signs experiencing this boon are the Earth Signs. Destiny calls to you. Will you respond?

Earth (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn)

If you stubbornly cling to the old ways and even people who no longer serve you, Uranus will pull the rug out from underneath you. Now, is a good time to write and publish memoirs or if that doesn't appeal to you, write a children's book (Gemini loves children's books). Get in touch with your inner child and create something new.

Learn carpentry and Mister Fix-It skills so that you can either repair, renovate, or build a completely new structure. As far as homes go, now is the time to buy or sell a house or to strip down to the basics and relocate into a smaller dwelling. Healing with energy, herbs, and homeopathy go well now as does any kind of bodywork. And speaking of the body, get outdoors, put on your hiking or running shoes and go on an adventure. Breathe in that mountain or ocean air.
