Whole Astrology--Cancer New Moon (Nuture Now)

Image
The information coming up on June 23, 2017 (2 degrees Cancer) reminds us to nurture ourselves. By this point in our journey, our nerves are frayed and our hearts feel raw. If we choose to spend more time with children and see the world through their gaze we reconnect and integrate our inner children. The other energy that appears with this moon has to do with how we nourish our bodies. Are we drinking enough fluids? Are we eating enough fruits and vegetables? Are we feeding others and forgetting about ourselves? A nursing mother knows that in order for her infant to get the nutrition he or she needs, the mother must eat healthily, refrain from smoking, drinking alcohol, and drinking enough purified water. Now, some of you are starting new families. You are giving birth to new life. Others are giving birth through creative projects, new businesses, and new spiritual pursuits. But ultimately this is a time to give birth to our authentic selves. This is a time to heal all mother i

Outer Planet Transits Shape & Ignite Global Events

Image
When astrologers view the outer planet transits, they gaze at global effects or how the transits shape the collective thoughts and actions. It's true, that we also read the outer planets in a personal astrology chart because the macro affects the micro--always. I also believe that individuals must learn how the outer planets (Saturn through Pluto) shape their lives and bring fateful situations to their doorsteps.  Saturn changes signs every 2 1/2 to 3 years and we definitely feel the bump in the road when Saturn transits into an adjacent sign. For instance, when Saturn was in Libra , I saw many couples break up or their partnerships ended in divorce. This isn't because Saturn or Libra are negative, but that Saturn asks us to take responsibility for the area of life it focuses its gaze. And when Saturn transiting in Libra the gaze was on partnerships and that kept divorce attorneys hopping with work. Legal proceedings especially that bring balance or justice fall under Libr

Now You See Me, Now You Don't--The Sun Moves into Gemini on May 20, 2017

Image
The Sun moves out of earthy Taurus and into the Mutable Air Sign Gemini on May 20. This means that we get out of our bodies and off the couch and into our minds while engaging in the social scene. Gemini brings us the gift of gab and everyone, even introverted dogs want to communicate. In fact, we're all fired up to share the stuff that's roaming around in our brains. Ruling Planet: Mercury Time Period: Spring, May 20 - June 21 Zodiac Symbol: Twins  Astrological House: Third Polar Opposite Sign: Sagittarius Quality: Mutable Element: Air Body Rulership: Lungs, arms, and hands But the problem with this Gemini energy (especially with Mars also in Gemini and Mercury transiting into Gemini on June 6), is that we talk a lot and we don't spend much time listening or observing. When we don't listen or take in the world through our senses and intuition, as we did when planets transited in Taurus, is that we miss the thread of what is really happening. We tune

Sagittarius Full Moon on June 9, 2017---Time to Travel & Expand Horizons

Image
Whenever Sagittarius comes up as a signature, my mind immediately gravitates towards travel, higher learning, and the legal system. I also think of all those faraway destinations where we travel by plane or boat across an ocean or two. On June 9, not only do we experience the full moon's energy in the Mutable Fire Sign Sagittarius, we also experience Jupiter going Direct after several months of its retrograde motion. Now, for any of you who are Sagittarius or who know Sagittarius people, you know that this sign is associated with expansiveness, enthusiasm, high spirits (often alcohol-induced), sarcasm, and exaggeration. Sagittarius also represents pie-in-the-sky idealism, seeing the glass half-full when the contents are dripping onto the floor, and freedom to roam. But are Jupiter moving Direct and the Sagittarius Full Moon indicators of good travel or good fortune (Sagittarius and Jupiter represent good fortune)? Saturn is still in the Sign of the Satyr, however, Saturn is

Whole Astrology--Pisces & Transformation from Victim to Wise Sage

Image
Pisces, I'm writing this post especially for you. However, we all have Pisces somewhere in our Natal Charts and that's where you will find transformation occurring in your life.  Also, look at the cusps in your charts with Gemini, Sagittarius, and Virgo. And look at planets transiting in your 9th and 12th houses. And finally, look at the place in your chart that is between 26 and 29 degrees Sagittarius because that is the Galactic Center for you. Lately, I've been noticing more Pisces coaches and healers appearing on YouTube. They are not the old brand of Pisces riddled with addictions or struggling with balancing their emotions. They are not the old brand of martyrs and victims. No, these folks come across authentically as wise sages. They have chosen to take their past suffering and experiences and transform those experiences into gold. They have become the alchemists of the Zodiac Wheel as the Age of Pisces concludes and the Age of Aquarius begins. Now, we wonde
