Outer Planet Transits Shape & Ignite Global Events

When astrologers view the outer planet transits, they gaze at global effects or how the transits shape the collective thoughts and actions. It's true, that we also read the outer planets in a personal astrology chart because the macro affects the micro--always. I also believe that individuals must learn how the outer planets (Saturn through Pluto) shape their lives and bring fateful situations to their doorsteps.

Saturn changes signs every 2 1/2 to 3 years and we definitely feel the bump in the road when Saturn transits into an adjacent sign. For instance, when Saturn was in Libra, I saw many couples break up or their partnerships ended in divorce. This isn't because Saturn or Libra are negative, but that Saturn asks us to take responsibility for the area of life it focuses its gaze. And when Saturn transiting in Libra the gaze was on partnerships and that kept divorce attorneys hopping with work. Legal proceedings especially that bring balance or justice fall under Libra.

When Saturn transited into Scorpio I think there was a greater focus on reproductive health, death, birth, rebirth, taxes, taboos and all those themes that fall under Scorpio. We focused on lineages, ancestors, shamanism, psychology, investigative journalism, and the ways people sabotage themselves when Saturn transited in Scorpio. Collectively, these themes end up in the media, even mainstream media, in movies, books, and regular conversations. They end up in trends and the mantras people speak on a daily basis. When I say mantras, I'm not talking about spiritual mantras but stuff people pick up from television characters or advertisement companies. I'm talking more about slogans that people say mindlessly because they are not able to come up with authentic communication.

Saturn in Sagittarius (current transit), brought xenophobia to our attention as well as, exaggerated political leaders. We have seen more battles of opposing idealism and exaggerated claims of political candidates or corporate leaders. Hyper exaggeration falls under Sagittarius as does idealism, philosophy, higher learning, lawyers, world travel, and cultural exchange. Big religion also fits into the Sagittarius themes and the current Catholic Pope has his sun in Sagittarius.

Uranus arrived in Aries in 2011 and this was the time of the Occupy Movement, Arab Spring, and the rise of Millennial warriors with social media as their main weapon. Uranus rules youth rebellion as well as, technology, especially computer technology. Aries rules youth and warriors, as well as, the child genius. Together Uranus and Aries bring innovations and asks us to step outside of the box or the Matrix. People who can do that rise in popularity on social media. And we see this happening on YouTube. Ted Talks falls under Uranus in Aries because the speakers focus on technology and even spiritual breakthroughs.

As a collective, we are seeing mammoth shifts of consciousness happening on the planet--Uranus is the Great Awakener and brings awakened consciousness to the Zodiac Sign of its transit. So collectively, we are looking at education, youth, children, mavericks, geniuses, pioneers, innovators, scientists, and alternative science such as quantum physics (which was obscure until recent years). We look at the individual versus the collective and exploring our authentic selves. We also act with great stubbornness and impatience.

When Uranus squared with Pluto (in Capricorn), we have witnessed violence erupting all across the world, and often this violence is surreal since Neptune is doubly powerful in its own sign Pisces. And we have a synergistic effect with Uranus in Aries, Pluto in Capricorn, and Neptune in Pisces! While Uranus squares Pluto, Neptune forms sextiles with Pluto. We saw something similar in the 1960s when Neptune in Scorpio formed sextiles with Pluto in Virgo. And we saw this again, in the 1970s when Neptune in Sagittarius formed sextiles with Pluto in Libra.

We are looking at three planets that shape the collective experience in powerful ways--beyond our control. These planets communicate with our brains and our neurological systems. They entrain us into chaos and confusion because the three energies of the planets are nothing alike. Pluto contains a darker energy that takes us deep into the workings of our subconscious while Neptune veils us in a fog. Uranus comes at us in sudden and irreversible events. Now, imagine the cosmic soup these three planets are stirring up for humanity and Planet Earth at this time! Astrologers can barely grasp the significance of the powerful shifting energies coming from Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.

So, when you see events in the news that literally blow your mind, know that one or all three of those planets play huge roles in those events. I'm talking general political elections, wars, strange weather, children killing children on playgrounds, medical breakthroughs, and investigative reporting revealing the shocking truth. Since 2008, we have entered a new age, call it what you want. The old ways no longer work and anyone still barking up those trees will suffer the fate of the dinosaurs. That's the main message from Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto now. Folks, this is a wake-up call. Do you hear the clarion horns calling you to ascend?
