Pediatric Astrology & Nurturing Childhood Talents

Image
While some children have delved into dance, music, and athletic training during their pubescent or teen years, most children perform better when they begin training at a much earlier age. However, what I've seen happening is parents using a patchwork approach to discovering their children's talents and passions. The problem with this trial and error approach is that a child gets burned out quickly and loses the ability to concentrate on any particular discipline. This is where Pediatric Astrology can help. When Pediatric Astrologers gaze at a child's chart looking for talents, we look for strong placement of planets in the 2nd House of talents and resources, as well as, the 5th House for performing arts skills, and we could look for latent talents in the 12th House which is the Pisces House representing dance, music, movie-making, photography and spiritual gifts. We also look at the 6th House of health and daily routine. The Zodiac placement of the planets (especially

Pisces Full Moon--Practical as opposed to Magical Dreaming

I would expect Neptune to be well, nebulous and the chart for the Pisces Full Moon on August 29 could be interpreted as having or not having a Mutable T-Cross.  (And this is another moon wearing an "S" on its chest because it's a Super Moon). The chart I made on Astro.com has a T-Cross including Sun and Jupiter in Virgo, Neptune and Moon in Pisces and pulls in Saturn (still in Scorpio). Now, I personally, don't want to read this as a T-Cross since Saturn is not yet in the Mutable Sign Sagittarius and I prefer to keep my Saturn aspects tight (Saturn represents a concentrated energy). However, we could make the argument that Saturn is two degrees away from transiting back into Sagittarius where it was from December 2014 until it transited backwards into Scorpio mid-June. I ask those of you with Scorpio or Sagittarius Moon, Sun, or Ascendant to feel this out for yourselves. To be or not to be a T-Square. I'm going to take a different approach with this moon

Jupiter in Virgo--Mr. & Mrs. Fix-it Take on the Big Jobs

Image
Jupiter, Wikipedia Only the Fire Signs won't be sighing with relief when Jupiter rolls out of Leo into Virgo on August 12. On one hand, we could end up tightening the belt financially speaking, big-spending has ended, and the train ride of self-love (though a necessary journey) is replaced with self-improvement. Our attention turns to implementing solutions, getting organized, communicating directly, and even losing the weight we gained during the Jupiter in Leo transit. Virgo is wonderful for getting work done or getting down to work. However, we become too critical of self and of others so we must refrain from nitpicking and focusing on problems. It's easy to fall into negative thinking since Virgo is the co-ruler of Mercury, but the same time Virgo gets to the point--not a sign for beating around a bush. We take pride in our work or at least we justify the time we spend on a project or a job trying to perfect a product or a service. Since Virgo focuses on service and h

Requests for Children's Charts for Video Series

Image
I decided to launch a new series, Cosmic Capers that focuses on Pediatric Astrology. I found out a way to anonymize the charts so that your child's identity is protected. So if you're interested in having your child's chart featured in the series, send me the birth data (date of birth, time of birth, location) and a question. I'll read the chart, answer the question and post an anonymized version of the chart in the video so that viewers can see the planets and aspects. I decided to create a series with 12 podcasts each representing a Zodiac Wheel house and one chart reading. So at the moment, I'm requesting 11 birth charts to complete the series. My initial plan is to make one 15 minute video per month. I'm only allotted 15 minutes on YouTube, but in the future, I'll move the series to Vimeo and go longer. For now I can feature one child per video, but of course the readings are always universal. If you're interested in participating in the seri

Astrology Forecast for September 2015--Initiation into Soul Mastery

Image
photo by Patricia Herlevi I'll talk more about it in future posts, ideally, the Solar and Lunar eclipses posts for September's moons, but September launches a crunchy season that lasts through December 2015. It might last longer but I haven't viewed the transits for 2016 yet. In September, Saturn moves into Sagittarius, Mercury goes retrograde, and we experience Solar and Lunar eclipses both with double-t-crosses. When we begin September, change is already in the air with the Sun/Jupiter in Virgo and Neptune/Chiron in Pisces. Then on September 18, Saturn moves back into Mutable Sagittarius, then on the 12th we experience a Solar Eclipse in Virgo at 20 degrees and then Mars moves into Virgo on the 24/25. So that tells the Mutable Signs side of the story. (I'll cover the Solar Eclipse in Virgo in another post). We're not through with the Cardinal Signs yet, since Uranus, still Retrograde backtracks closer into a square with Pluto (which goes direct on the 25th
