Full Moon in Cancer and Cardinal T-Cross (January 4, 2015)

Image
Wikipedia  We start of 2015 with another Cardinal slugging festival with the Full Moon in its own sign transiting at 14 degrees opposing Sun conjunct Pluto ( 13 degrees Capricorn) and squaring Uranus at 12 degrees Aries. While we aren't dealing with exact degrees we experience another Cardinal T-Cross with bad boys Pluto and Uranus coming down hard on the most sensitive of the Moon Signs. One one hand, we get another opportunity to transform our lives both individually and globally.  Meanwhile, the North Node in Libra (Aries axis) transits at 15 degrees asking us to bring balance to the situation.  The Nodes represent fate or destiny and with the North Node in Libra, we want justice in some area of our lives. The areas of our lives depend upon where the Full Moon, Sun, Pluto and Uranus transit. So what energy am I picking up here?  The Full Moon represents the Mother or the Divine Feminine Goddess. She is either the chaste high priestess or the pregnant mother, depending on

Revisiting Singleton Planets--Alone, but not Lonely

Image
Wikipedia For a woman with a Singleton Venus, oozes charm and unwittingly attracts others.  She might hide herself away like a nun or fear she isn't attractive enough, yet other people think she's beautiful.  Someone with a Singleton Jupiter possesses the luck of the Irish but thinks someone has put a curse on him or her. And so it goes with the Singleton planets in a Natal Chart. What are Singleton Planets? They are unaspected planets in a Natal Chart, at least they don't form any aspects with other planets, though they might have conversations with asteroids, Moon Nodes or appear in a a prominent place in a chart such as in an angular house.  When we first notice an unaspected planet we might think that the planet is weak in the chart, yet, I have noticed the opposite scenario.  A Singleton planet actually carries more weight in a chart because it arrives in its purist form in that no other planet adds its influences to it. However, since the planet doesn't as

It's Your Turn Mutables--Saturn Neptune Square

Image
As I already mentioned in my astrological forecast for 2015, people with Natal Planets in Pisces, Gemini, Virgo and Sagittarius are going to experience outer planet transits.  Saturn just moved into Sagittarius, Neptune has been in Pisces for several years and Jupiter moves into Virgo this summer.  This means that three of the five outer planets will be in Mutable Signs so expect lots of movement and a lot of communication. While we will experience an on-going square with Saturn and Neptune for most of the year with an exact square from November 26 to December 4, we won't experience any Mutable T-Crosses since Saturn will have moved back into Scorpio at the time when Jupiter moves into Virgo.  Then Jupiter takes off like a bat out of Hades gathering speed in momentum.  So this won't feel like a repeat of the 1960s when Uranus and Pluto were both in Virgo, Saturn and Chiron were in Pisces, etc... We will experience an exact Jupiter-Neptune opposition (I was born with one

New Moon in Capricorn/Winter Solstice (December 21)--Talking Business

Image
Wikipedia The New Moon at 0 degrees Capricorn, coinciding with the Solstice (December 21), has some of us getting down to business (most likely completing projects from the past year), and others getting back to old fashion family values as we experience the holiday season.   In addition we experience a Capricorn triple conjunction with Venus, Mercury and Pluto at 12 degrees squaring Uranus in Aries.  And the Moon and Sun conjunct Mercury (6 degrees). We could see a lot of father figures suppressing youth with the attitude, "This is for your own good."  Is this an episode from Father Knows Best or autocratic behavior.  Some of us aren't going to like feeling treated like a child and will rebel (Uranus in Aries). First planetary business of December 21st includes Venus in Capricorn forming a sextile with Chiron in Pisces, then before the Sagittarius Moon goes void-of-course (4:34 a.m. PST), it forms a fire trine with Jupiter in Leo giving us a burst of enthusiasti

Final Uranus-Pluto Square, but...

Image
Since we are experiencing the final Uranus-Pluto Square of a 7-part series, it feels even more intense.  And in fact, this square lasts the longest, first starting at 13 degrees, then another hit at 14 degrees and ending at 15 degrees taking us through March 2015.  And for anyone who has ignored the lessons, this final square brings us a knock-out-drag-down fight with the stuff in our subconscious. Yes, it's time to claim spiritual mastership and awaken consciousness.  Remember Uranus in Aries awakens the warrior in each of us and Pluto takes us through the Dark Night of the Soul.  So even though we are experiencing dual between the two planets, they actually compliment each other.  Wacky Uranus with his techno gizmos traveling in the sign of the warrior (Aries) gives us the courage and foolish heart to take Pluto's journey into the underworld of our subconscious. This means that we encounter our compulsions, impulses and stuff that causes us to sabotage our best efforts.

Astrological Forecast for 2015: Magic Carpet Ride & Then Some

Photo by Patricia Herlevi, Seattle 1980s Two images appear in my mind when contemplating the astrological year for 2015.  First, I see a kaleidoscope presented by Neptune and Jupiter, but I also see a tapestry woven by Saturn in Sagittarius as this planet tries to make sense of Neptune's surrealism and Jupiter's stage show.  Shakespeare once said that all the world's a stage and that we're all players.  However, did he realize the extent of our co-creation? So instead of going month to month and give you the miniature breakdowns of transits, I'm presenting a bigger picture of 2015 by presenting themes.  I focus mainly on the outer planet transits, the three Mercury retrogrades in Air Signs, and the two sets of eclipses that take place in the spring and fall.  As you already know, Mercury always retrogrades approximately three times a year and or every three and half to four months.  And the planet isn't really going backwards, but it is so far ahead of the

Gemini Full Moon for December 6, 2014--Power of Words

Image
photo by Patricia So often we use words like weapons.  We have heard the saying that the pen is mightier than the sword, but so is the tongue.  During this Full Moon in Gemini speak with honesty and gentle kindness.  It is a time to use healing words.   And think before you speak, but speak from the heart.  If this sounds like a riddle, welcome to the Gemini Full Moon. Perhaps you're like me and you enjoy gazing at the Moon.  Last night, I marveled at the beauty of the waxing Taurus Moon.  This moon offers us a time to rest before the Gemini Full Moon.  We rest our minds, rest our throats and nervous system. And this is a good thing since the Gemini Full Moon on December 6 opposes Mercury and the Sun in Sagittarius while squaring Chiron in Pisces (Mutable T-Cross).  Then the Moon sextiles Jupiter in Leo later the same day. I have a vision of words flying and often hitting their mark. But depending on the words, whether they are loving or cutting, will have lasting results.
